Clenched Fist and Eagle Banners

Hi,

are anyone familiar with the encounter with two spectral armies one flying a banner with a clenched fist, the other flying one with an eagle? It’s not very well described on Bobbins page, any input her would be welcome.

Cheers

Some of you must have experienced it? Don’t want to share?

Ignore the encounter.

FP emissary (55 rank) offers to mediate truce. You can read the result.

“His words went unheeded as the two groups clashed about him. The Men that had seemed so ghostly suddenly
seemed very real as swords clashed and cut. Fighting his way clear, he was almost free of the battle when a
blow from behind struck him unconscious. Awakening at dawn, he found the clearing empty and no signs of
battle could be found other than his own wounds.”

Appart from the going down to 75 health nothing else happened.

I don’t have any info (other than Bobbins site) about other possible answers, or trying the same answer with a DS character or other type of character (ex. commander) If you try something out let us know

Thanks for the input.

It’s not my encounter, that would be a little too revealing seeing how my games are listed below, it’s a friend of mine who’s got the encounter, if his reaction is one not described I will post it here.

I saw an encounter where a DS commander (don’t remember exact rank, in the 60’s though) also tried to mediate a truce, with almost identical results as the emissary above…both sides fight anyway and the commander escaped with injuries.

Encounter for ******* at ****

He joined in the ghostly battle, fighting beneath the clenched fist banner. The battle raged, cries of
victory and cries of death rang out on both sides. A battle-fury swept over him and he waded into the
thickest parts of the skirmish, seeking the enemy banner. As the sun rose, the madness left him. As he stood
gasping for breath and suddenly feeling the wounds he had accumulated, he noticed that the clearing was
empty. The only signs of battle were his own wounds and exhaustion.

I was injured but I can’t say for sure how much cause I issued a Personal Challenge the same turn.
