8) To keep the game going, Harly using the editor that most people
know they have modifies the results of the army combat to let the
Dragon Lord win so that that postion is still viable.
We did not nor would we, if players found out that we did this then players
would not play with us. It's also against our ethics. It's a full time job
just running games, we don't have the opportunity nor the inclination to do
this. If nations get knocked out then so be it. If teams lose then so be
it. There's always the next game - our policy is run the best game we can
then players will enjoy it, bring in more players, and play more games.
(DGEs players were slowly dropping off - 25% drop off in 4 years, similar
case (or worse!) for others. Our player base increased (without the DGE
takeover) from 19 to 30 games in 2 years. Part of the reason for this is as
fair and impartial running of the game as we can. I would hope that players
who have played with us for a while would recognise this, for those new to
the fold only time can tell.)
From reading some of the posts, most people agree that the woodies won
the battle.
The fortifications and hated were not effectively factored in. Maybe the
opposing team would like to comment?

After playing with Harly since the transfer from DGE, I can say that there
is a noticeable difference inn customer service. I have had some differences
with Harly since coming on board but they can not be compared with the
problem us Yanks had with GSI/DGE. (I think Stuart was the best one to deal
with over there, if you could get him. BTW: Is he still with MEPBM?)
Nevertheless, most answers are just a point of a player not fully realizing
all the factors. And time is telling on some of us Yanks, I know of two
Americans who have come back to Middle Earth already.
Yep he's alive and kicking over here. Part of the reason we brought him
over - other then him having long hair of course, was his experience with
the NA group. Note there will always the occasional difference of opinion
about items that come up. It's dealing with those that is the difficult
bit.

Yes we have had around 20-30 players rejoin (ie specifically state that they
were rejoining because we were running it now and had heard good things. -
Plug, plug).

I never thought you would.

GSI and DGE Gave the impression of "Send us your money we'll send you your
turn and don't call us."
Harly is much more interactive with the players. I don't think DGE or GSI
would have EVER let a player write a senario (Last Alliance, War of the Ring),
or supported it.
