Hi it's been like a week and I've got alot of you guys...LOL.
Anyway for now I'll just learn off of you guys if you don't mind and just
catch up and then spectate for a while longer.....does it cost money to
play? I think I read a piece of one of the messages...don't know if it
was this list or another list I'm in that I read. Anyway the first
letter I got the one that was the testimonials that had that application
thing....when I clicked on it it only brought up the save as menu and
didn't have any filename in the box....and whenever I click on an
attachment it usually either asks me if I'd like to save or open...and
whenever I have to save it, it usually has the filename in the
appropriate place....so what was wrong w/ it?
LOl to that guy that was bribing Harad to send some of his army
home in exchange for his fortunes...that cracks me up...why spend his
money on stuff he could always plunder and loot? Or is it Lunder and
Ploot...LOL
I can relate to Michael because for the past few months I've been
playing The Sims and that and reading and email and stuff even made me
forget my favorite MUD, Realms of Despair...anyone ever go to that one?
I know all too well about lag too b/c I've been killed on Realms w/
several of my characters and one of my ex-gfs had her vampire killed off
by lag. Her roommate left the dorm room unlocked and someone stole her
computer and she had to borrow a slower computer so one of the last times
she was ever on she waited like 30 minutes to learn she died
already...LOL
If I was to play anything it would be an elf from the Iron
Mountains or something like that...need to crack out my Tolkien again and
look it up.
Has anyone ever got the base rulebook for Middle Earth Quest?
Laurence is right...altough RPGs are an escape from reality,
there's no excuse for rules to be written that defy physics or social
interactions in the new world that is being played in. Actually a RPG is
a wish by the players to live as someone else they can't in real life and
is in this way an escape from reality but even in fantasy there is some
reality....you can escape from most reality but not all. There's no way
that the GM should give cash or just anyone give cash to someone missing
a turn or whatever went on there. Let whoever screwed up learn from
mistakes.
Also that's one way to look at it....gold "fading" by paying
troops for just "sitting around" and paying the double agents who the
commanders don't know are double agents and so funding the enemy.
Heather or Adam or whoever has the same opinion as I do....I
wouldn't want an easy win eather and it would irritate me to death...
I'll continue on tomorrow...
