Companion is DIFFERENT from Guide. Both are good, but the Companion
(IMO) is a touch better. AIR, Companion is way OOP and impossible to
find. I =think= I have two copies... I know when GSI was running
this, there was some chatter about making a copy a "roving trophy"
that would go to game winner to game winner...

The Tolkien Companion / J.E.A. Tyler PB 1977
There are always multiple copies on EBAY, but the hardcovers are the
coolest...
Jeffery A.
RD: Gotta tell you, "The Complete Guide to Middle-earth" by Robert Foster is my bible. I recently bought the "companion" as well, but though twice as thick, no more relevant info (yet!).
