I for one have never heard of these games.

 !!! Stags, you're antiquated, step into the new millenium.

Evercrack is probably a crack at EverQuest. I remember UO (Ultima
Online), the 1st online Hack & Slash RP type game. My, did I spend
thousands by connecting to UO from the moment I came back from
work till morning when I had to go to work. Sleep ? Well, when I slept,
my online char was most likely hacking at a dummy to increase his/her
weapon skill, :), via a shortcut key being pressed upon by a
paperweight, :).

There are many hack&slash, shootemup online games on the net
now and there's a few fantastic on-line strategy games as well, of the
last, Sony's games comes to mind, the Fantasy Wars or something
looks real cool though I never found the time to go online for hours
like I did b4 with UO. UO spelt the death of a social life that never ever
got ressurrected, :).

Stags, get your IT people to give you browsing capability on your
workdesk, :).
