Complexity in the changes suggested

To those people who wants more complexity in their mepbm games,
I suggest either,

1) Wait and actually contribute some work, research etc or even
doing some coding, for a new and entirely different mepbm game, OR

*Hint* Start a New Mailing List for it, :). Then you find how fast the
novelty of the idea dies off, :). I did, for a game called Hyborian Wars,
:).
Then leave me-pbm alone as it is and the mailing list can return to
other me-pbm stuff.

2) Get into something else.

MEPBM wouldn't be the same if it's changed and I adher to the if it's
not broken, it doesn't needs to be repaired policy.

Of course I welcome some changes and some minor tweaks here and
there and wouldn't affect gameplay and change me-pbm into something
different. For starters, leave the 1650 scenario as it is, it's like a chess
game with 24 players on two sides (grudge games, that is), for some,
chess seems boring and repetitive, opening moves are always the same,
you always want to try to prevent the other to gain an advantage.

Of course, introduce some more realism but nothing that can affect
gameplay again. Create new variations, e.g. 2950 Version Three, but
leave the originals intact.

b.e.'s 2 sens which is only worth about 0.0035

Except it's very clearly broken. Or at least, not working the way it should.
The game is good, but the army side really needs work. The market algorithm
has problems in long games with few nations remaining: prices go through the
roof. Etc.

My philosophy on this: if you're driving along and the oil light comes on,
it's probably time to check the oil, even if the car is still capable of
moving.

Gavin

Well said Gavin. I'll add that my computer isn't broken, but it's
getting very, very long in the tooth now, and if I could improve it I
would. If this can't be done, then the day will come when I have to
turn away from it and move to a completely new one. And then there's
the wife...
