Confessional

Hi,
Somebody mentioned the west/east mix up. Um well in the original game
five (mercifully years ago now) I spent some while building up a large
Dwarf army at Khazad-dum, 5000 hi in all. I even equipped as much of it
as I could in bronze and steel *and* gave it food. It's purpose? To
march south and attack Morannon. So what did I do?

Naturally I marched W, W, W instead of east. Sod it I thought. Oh well,
Rhudaur's still neutral and hasn't been replying to messages sent
through the game. Three turn's later there was no Rhudaur, just an
anguished note saying "Why pick on me with such a big army?". Er, if
you're reading this, now youu know!

By the way, that army (led by Bain) never did die. It ended the game
(some 25 turns or so later) encamped on the Dwarven resort of Barad-dur.
Odd game though - the oddest thing that happened was probably the Noldo
deliberately hiding the Cloud Lord capital.... Well, the Easterlings had
been attacking us all game (20-30 turns), then suddenly did a 'volte
face' and decalred FP on 1900 VP's. Since we were close to winning, we
thought this a bit off - I believe there was a deal struck with the DS,
a sort of non-aggression pact. Both sides then attacked the Easterlings.

Oh dear, that little admission is going to ruffle some feathers

Colin.
