Of course voting is flawed, because it is based on impressions which may be
correct, partially correct or totally wrong. But isn't it better than an
arbitrary points system?
NO!!! Better would be to give up the foolish notion that any ranking system is going to reward the best players. It is simply going to reward those that learn to "work the system". Players will go back to the bad old days when they choose nations and teams and games and strategies that got them the best "score". Now, it will be WAY worse, because of one listing in a magazine that few players got or read, now the socre will factor into a "BS RANKING" that will be perminantly listed on the web site, and emailed out.
The rankings will NOT reward the best players. It will reward the people that "work the system", and is likely to turn some good players into real jerks.
Voting for the "Best Enemey" is by far the worst idea of a ranking system that is CRAMMED full of really aweful ideas.
