a price increase and then outline steps they can take to avoid
the increase! What you should do is print a notice
retracting everything you have written about Automagic & MEOW
and then just announce an across the board rate hike. That

Nope. As Laurence put it so well, Clint did this in the wrong
order and now has to deal with the results. (I actually have a
great deal of sympathy for Clint's position, but don't let him
know that.)
This rather reminds me of TWA's "improved" elite level a few
years ago: they made it more difficult to upgrade to the front
cabin "due to customer demand" and then were surprised when
the complaints started to pour in... As someone who'd ammassed
a half a million miles with them, I certainly wasn't pleased to
be rewarded for my loyalty like that!
