Digest Number 1511

Laurence, you have way too much time on your hands!

Lol, yes some truth in that, Would you believe that last month all 3 of my
games ended virtually at once? 5 positions. Have 3 positions up again and
running, but working out the orders for 24 characters is not the same, when
you've spent the last year or so working them out for 105 heroes.

So as I'm on the waiting list for the next 5 ClL and WWi positions, I could
be entertaining you all here for some time. (Only kidding chaps.)

RD: I will add that Laurence is on my team waiting for a brave or reckless team to respond to our challenge issued nearly a week ago. We are looking to play DS in either:

  1650 10 v 10
  1650 12 v 12
  WotR 2950 12 v 12

All pre-aligned neuts and preferably with a +10 skill bonus to each nation provided it doesn't take the chosen character over 40 in the chosen skill.

So if you want to stop Laurence posting so much on this list, put a team together and come and fight us. There is a real cup up for grabs too, sponsored by Flagship magazine!

Finally putting your own team together has a whole bunch of advantages:
  1) YOU get to decide who plays Noldo
  2) Some if not all of the players know each other from previous games
  3) Everyone pays the same (ie nobody gets stung for picking a top nation they actually like)
  4) NO random element - you states yer choice and you either gets it or not (in 10+ years of team games I've never yet seen a team member quit because he didn't get a nation he wanted)
  5) Clint doesn't have to allocate your nation (THAT must be worth a free turn!) nudge nudge wink wink
  6) Laurence (and I) will not have spare time to compose and send long diatribes to this list.

Come on guys, what are you waiting for?

  Richard.
