      Great & noble was he,
       Wolf slayer was he,
       Free to leave the evil & join the good,
       to slay the great evil yet slain be..
   
  I already answered 'Finrod' & nothing happened! Any ideas?

Problem is that Beren didn't leave any evil, nor slayed any great
evil. Whereas Huan left the services of the cruel (and evil) sons of
Feanor, and slayed Carcharoth, the evil werewolf that Sauron had bred
for his guarddog.
