What happens to an army's train if I disband it in the city?
Specifically, does the food get transferred to the city's stores?

Nope. The soldiers filch it before they return to their ploughs. The
only way to keep food is to transfer it to the pop first. I don't think
you could do anything about armour or war machines except transfer them
to another army first.
