Doubled agent protecting

A question about doubled agents. This may change a few things in the rest of my game.

Say Agent Defender is doubled by MyNation.
My agent Killer tries to assassinate Victim, who is protected by Defender.

Will Defender watch and play cards during the action or will he actually protect Victim and try to catch my Killer ?

Read the rules on this. If your killer staggers in drunk singing his college hymn, Defender will have no choice but to roll his eyes and kill him, double or no. Everything is a roll of the dice, you may have some weighted dice here, but they still roll.
