Hi,
The rules for 'Downfall', the Middle Earth Diplomacy variant
which will be running through "News from Bree" may now be
obtained in the Files folder of the following website...

http://groups.yahoo.com/group/newsfrombree/files/

Note that this is the website of a YahooGroups (similar to
the ME mailing list) so you will have to use or create a
Yahoo id to access the site. This is a temporary
arrangement, pending the setting up of a proper website for
the game.

Well, it certainly looks nifty! Are Diplomacy rules anywhere on the net?
(Never played...)

I found what CLAIMS to be the rules to Diplomacy at
http://www.dcs.gla.ac.uk/~mcdonalg/diplomacy/diprules.html
Does anyone know:
1) did Avalon Hill put the rules themselves into a "shareware" sort of mode?
2) are these the rules?
3) If answer to 1 is negative, anyone (US) got a set of Diplomacy they want
to sell on the cheap?

Um, they look like the rules, yes. As far as I am aware AH did not
make the Dip rules available as shareware - they turned a blind eye to
the massive PBM and PBeM Dippy hobby, in return for the rules NOT
being posted on the net. One reason why I am loathe to do so. However,
if someone else has put them up and you want to take a look... :slight_smile:
