Thanks for that,

does that mean that a character without an army cannot recruit a Dragon? or
is it possible for him to do so and then the Dragon moves to the nearest
friendly army?

Cheers in advance

Simon

No -- the character that is not on or leading the
army has to go and recruit the dragon -- characters that are leading an army
or have joined the army will not get a dragon encounter even if they are in
the same hex as the dragon !! Lets say you plant a camp in a mountain hex --
next turn a dragon shows up --(they usually stay for two turns ) you have to
810 a character to that hex to get the dragon encounter next turn -- if you
850/860 an army into the hex -- the army commander won't get the encounter or
if you have an army in that hex and have a character 870 the army commander
he won't get the encounter either !! Hope this helps !!

Cheers Mike,

makes sense and requires a bit more thought and planning.
