Eliminated nations characters

Question:
A nation is eliminated. When this occurs some of its characters are part of
a company commanded by a character from another nation. Do the characters
from the eliminated nation stay in the company and continue to travel around
with it or do they drop out of the company?

RD: They stay in the company. However they are dead weight. Get rid of
them any way you can as the enemy may be tracking them or any artifacts they
are carrying.

Of course, this also makes it easier to keep track of them when you want to recruit
them. (You'll know when they disappear, too.)
