As a non-UK gamer, I'm interested in finding out what are
the new prices for MEPBM Games in Euro ?
Also when is the Euro is supposed 2b implemented in UK
if it's not already ? (I was informed 1st, and a different
date as a penultimate date for different countries and
currencies, e.g. Netherlands, 28th).
Of course, I'm asking in very faint hopes of lower prices, :).
Like how it costs me only an average RM (Malaysian Ringgit)
13++ per turn for LII games with Pegasus (Netherland) but
RM 28++ per turn with Harlequin ??? (I upped the min orders
cost for the calcs, don't worry).
That's a huge 50% difference in value.
What are UK's major exports (besides scottish whiskey) ???
Seems to me with such an "high" value currency, it's very costly
to buy stuff from UK compared with other countries, so I
assume UK must be either very self sufficient or has huge trade
deficits.

UK, Sweden and Denmark are yet to decide upon joining the Euro at
all. Primarily because the majority of the population in those
countries have, so far, been very reluctant.
If it happens it won't be for another 2-3 years at least.

Oil? Meat? Tourism? Don't know

This whole matter of which currencies are strong and which are weak
is something of a mystery to me.
I know how you feel though, because as a Swede I too have to live
with a immensly "expensive" GBP and USD.
I figure that the UK _are_ pretty self sufficient, plus London and
thus the sterling, has been a center for economic activity for ages
(a bit like Schweiz).
Johan - Not really sure he knows what he is talking about

RD: No date has been set for the UK to change to the pox-ridden, corrupt
Euro because the UK government knows the population is at least 2-1 against
it according to latest polls.

RD: Duh... I honestly couldn't tell you now. Soldiers to keep the peace in
war-torn countries? When I did geography at college the UK was a major
exporter of cars, ships, steel etc. All gone now, cue lament....

RD: Huge trade deficits, but nobody seems to care any more.
Richard.
