Players would arrive on the Friday night, get their initial results, and perhaps run a turn or two before retiring to a pub!
The game would then run Sat/Sunday until people had to go home!
Often we have one team based at the Harlequin HQ and one team meeting up in America at a prearranged location, with communication by SKYPE.
The whole weekend runs for a flat fee and not a turn by turn basis.
Our relaunch total price is £100 per person (deposit of £20 to book a place)
[Equivalent price in dollars for US players, $160 total, $30 for deposit]
I am looking to get such an event going for one weekend in November.
A. 2nd/3rd
B. 9th/10th
C. 16th/17th
D. 23rd/24th
E. 30th/1stDec
Reply here if interested but email me with the weekends ordered highest preference first if you definitely want to play (obviously exclude any weekend you CAN’T make).
I’d be interested in playing on the US team. Trouble is, I’m active duty military, so I have some restrictions on what I can do.
I’m only available the first weekend listed, the 2nd and 3rd or November.
Also, the game would have to be within a few hours drive for me; I’m at Ft Lewis, just south of Seattle, Washington. However, I’m quite willing to host the team. My home office has ample room for work space. It could easily accommodate 6 to 8 people. And it has it’s own toilet. Also, smoking area readily available on the deck.
Our guest room has a double bed, and the fold-out couch has a queen. So we could sleep four, there. I also have a great camp bed from Cabela’s (also a double) which is comfy. And we will likely have a set of bunk beds arriving soon, besides, for the other spare room. Failing all that, there’s a nice hotel within a mile or so from the house.
There’s also a decent Irish Pub within staggering distance.
Also, the Mrs is a phenomenal cook. And I know my way around a grill pretty well.
Now that the holidays are over, how about we start planning on a FTF game?
February seems to be a good month for some people, although I’m certainly open to a later date. I could also do April or May, but March and June are too busy for me.
The weekend of February 15-17 is a 3-day weekend for me, so that would be ideal.
Again, the location for the US team would have to be within a few hours drive of Fort Lewis (just south of Seattle). Any farther and I will be unable to attend. I would be willing to host; we can easily accommodate 3-4 people (more if there is bed sharing), and there’s an excellent hotel just down the street. My home office has enough space to serve as a game room.
