p.s. The difficulty of paying a reduced free for crippled nations is when do
you consider the nation to have recovered and thus back on full charge ? It
can't be a GM thing like you suggest, since I don't think you have the time
to check each cripplied nation, for each turn, and for every game, to see if
they have recovered. And how many players have said 'please charge me more
than what i'm paying now'.
If we have a reduced charge for cripplied nations, I would have the computer
work it out. I would base in on the number of characters versus the maximum
number (so a cripped nation after turn 20 would be considered a strong
nation on T0). Not sure how many pop centres a cripplied nation would have,
but I can work out that a crippled nation has bugger all.
But I don't mind paying the full money. Its not as if I want the tax man to
it, and it does help keep you lot in business.
