those who on the list get the information fastest. This will mean that new
games, information etc will come to you all first.
7/6/99 We could with some more articles for the News From Bree. Game
diaries, artwork, comments, procs, ideas, discussions, letters you name it
we want it...
2/6/99 Pubmeet news - provisionally we will be holding a pubmeet near to
Reading train station on the 7th August - early afternoon onwards. Hope to
see some of you there.
26/5 We have changed our email program to Outlook Express - which now does
automated responses (whew!). To get such a reply informing you that we
have had your turn you need to use the following format for your turn:
In the Subject Line: ME 98/14
(for Middle Earth game 98 nation 14 - Cloud Lord)
There will be no response otherwise...

yours...) As per usual we encourage you all to send to the Harlequin email
address and not the Allsorts one (we keep the Allsorts one to keep in touch
with old (no-longer playing) players, and to send out turns) which does not
have a reply. (So far the Allsorts account has been very successful
getting in some 10 players.)
18/5 Due to the lack of interest for the list we have set up another one
specifically for MEPBM. Check out our website for more information

26/5 The European Championships is here. I am looking into it having other
countries outside of the UK as well. The system is 1650, with a League
set-up. Points will be allocated for a win (5), and also for the
difference between the teams players in the end game. So at the end of the
game (52 turns maximum) the number of the nation in the winner's team minus
the number of active nations in the loser's team (generally zero). This
will mean that you are encouraged to stick with the game to help your team.
As this will take a while to play out you are allowed to swop over team
members if need be. One team gets to choose good or evil and then for the
return match then they swop teams. Teams of 12 required with Rhudaur and
Haradwaith evil, Dunlendings and Corsais good.
31/5 We now have a South American team on the way - but as yet no British
team although feelers have been put out. I am investigating a Spanish team
and then we may go further afield again and turn it into the world cup.
We have now got the Germans and Scandanavians ready to play in the first
match.
6/5 Unfortunately I am spending more and more of my time each day chasing
up bad debts and people going overdrawn on their credit. Due to this we
are as of now instigating a charge for those who go into debt of �1.00. I
want to do this for fun not spend hours looking for the money...
I have positions available in a number of games.
