Front Sheet

At present we don't want to play with the format of the FS - it's an
intermediary stage and we prefer to do the work on the next stage rather
than spend time sorting this one out to perfection.

Hi Clint (and, for the third paragraph, those slugabed citizens of
the USA),
I'm not suggesting you change the format, just tidy up the one you
already have. There may be some complex time consuming process in
creating the text for the F/S but, if it is like most other text
documents, two minutes of cut and paste will provide a new world in
information delivery for your lucky customers. If not then I am sure
the world will somehow spin lamely on.

Most of the people who read this list may be aware of the UK F2F in
July but those who don't may only pick it up off the F/S and hiding
it away won't help their awareness. Whilst I will greedily play two
nations, as ever, I thought you might be more motivated to promote
the particular pleasures of F2F to the widest possible audience?

To you Yanks and Yankees, if the Harlequin team and I can manage to
navigate the Atlantic and half of North America how come only four
(last stats I heard) of you seem able to make it to your own back
yard for a US F2F? I know avoiding supercilious Englishmen may be a
valid reason but I am pleasanter in the flesh. Having been bought up
on a diet of 'US Gun Culture Savage Slaying' shockumentaries I will
expect to be shot if I don't call you sir :). Seriously though,
playing F2F is worth it but at this rate it won't happen unless you
start putting your money where your mouth is.

Cheers
Chris Courtiour

PS Clint,
The new format F/S are a great improvement. Being attached to my e-
mail turn, I actually look at them sometimes and can spot things to
criticise.

I am one of the eager players waiting for my fellow
Minneapolis-St. Paul gamers to answer the challenge.
Almost 20 turns in two days! On a warm summer night
with beer, Green Mill pizza, and the priviledge of
seeing my strategic genius at work. Pick a side, I
want to beat you!

Nothing like the arrogant to draw out a crowd. No,
seriously, I will beat you.

c'mon guys! Get back to Clint so we can get it
scheduled.
