I would have bet A LOT of money that going to turn 52
couldn't happen (due to the strategic pop centres),
but this shows that I called that wrong.

thanks

Hey, write it as Aragorn approaching the lighthouse at Pelargir and it
might actually be funny - to the Nazgul anyway

2 nations is when I allow players to start with upto 2 nations in a game. I
generally try to put in a Tasty and a not very Tasty nation together - NG/SG
is something for example that players like to play.

I assume you mean to convey that some players like to play
SG/NG, but that would be two tasties together so instead
you try to get them to play just one of those plus
someone else like Woodmen?

I have a question about grudge games. In a grudge game
can a player play two positions? Do you have to be informed
about it? If a player in a grudge game wants to leave,
can the team simply have one of the existing players take
over the position (become a 2-nation player) or does that
require your permission and/or the other teams' acceptance?

No sorry that might be considered a bad example - the NG are generally
considered a bit of a whipping boy for the DS to practice on - but SG a
lovely position to play. Sindar and Noldo would be unlikely combinations,
but Dwarves Northmen might be fine - that sort of thing.

I have a question about grudge games. In a grudge game
can a player play two positions?

*** Depends - if both teams are up for it then yes. Normally no.

Do you have to be informed
about it?

*** YES!

If a player in a grudge game wants to leave,
can the team simply have one of the existing players take
over the position (become a 2-nation player) or does that
require your permission and/or the other teams' acceptance?

*** Depends - you can have an agreement set up about it. Normally anyone
can take up the 2nd nation - but if we suspect that players are setting up
then dropping so that their "ally" in the game can take it up then I will
have to check into this. It's not abused at present (the times it has been
I keep a close eye on things).

Clint

i'm surprised no one has answered the list of
questions that I read last night. I've deleted them
all, but ask again and I will try to get a reply.

I think the answers are
a) when a person gets killed by agents, his killer
gets his items. Characters have a limit of 8 items,
and they don't get told what they don't have the room
to carry. So empty your pockets often.

B) I seem to rememeber a person who got PCed passing
his items onto his own side before he died.

c) I actually thought that laurence has a calculation
about threats, but I can't see it. Pretend its a a
1650 game, and ask bobbin

d) And on the middle earth version of the legend
LTE/LPE magic box. Can you make it automatically
produce the email orders ? Seems I AGAIN got caught by
calling orders for G28 orders G29 - my sympathies to
the rangers in g29 who were just about to do some
'very silly' orders. :frowning:

Having the program have all the proper codes and
required info would be nice. Then checking that the
codes and required info is correct would be even
better

thanks

The limit is 6 items. If you can't pick up the loot, it can go to
another character in the same hex of your nation. It drops on the
ground if no one is there to pick it up.

B) I seem to rememeber a person who got PCed passing
his items onto his own side before he died.

If you are the target of a PC, the winner gets your toys. If you
issue a PC and lose, your buddies in the hex get them.
Oh - and folks who get cursed seem to drop theirs in the dirt as far
as I can tell.

Yes, this would be a big help. Also a map that you can import other
players stuff into; but starting out with even a primitive order
checker would be great.

cheers,

No, if you mean on my site, there are only a couple of bits there which
I did not think were on other sites. The threats calculation is not
there, because I don't think much of its accuracy. Yesterday, thanks to
somebody who kindly posted the correct http addresses some time ago, I
updated the links from my homepage to Harlequin, GSI, Facade, Stormy,
Bobbin and Baerauble. Off the top of my head, I think that the
(suspect) threats formula is on the latter.
