FTF - Face to Face game in Cardiff; and other bits from t...

How about having it at a gaming convention (Origins, GenCon, etc)? Plenty
of space available in the "open gaming" areas, plus a good chance to attract
new players. The question of "when" would also be quickly resolved.

That is a great idea.

For location it's fine but for other costs there are many hidden extras. Something to consider.

I wouldn't be a big fan of this, mostly because of the expense and crowding of the con. I don't think it would save much money, and we probably wouldn't have time for the con, anyway.

The "hidden extras" will be made up for if interest in MEPBM is generated in the con participants. There are always swarms of people trying the new games... you could probably make a fair amount of dough just selling the rulebooks at a booth/table... with all the excitement from the movies, 2950 would take off like a rocket.

Why am I telling you these things? I should be charging a fee and doing this myself. You guys want a quality rep stateside?

Having done around 30 conventions it's more the sort of spluttering rocket that doesn't quite ignite but there are bonuses.

Yes, sort of. We've got no money for this at present though. A few guys have done some work for us for free over there before.
