FTF in the States

We’ve presently got 22 players interested in this.

If we can some more I can start looking at regions for the FTF. After that we can start looking at dates.

I am interested in playing. I live in Washington DC and would be willing to travel in the Eastern Seaboardish kind of region, depending on tourist value of the location. Also, I would make a trip to New Orleans to play.

I’d be interested as well. I live in coastal North Carolina and would travel to several spots on the eastern seaboard as well, but the closest major metropolitan area would be D.C. (Not the most economical or easiest to get around in town in the world, but not a bad option.)

I am in South Carolina and could do a FTF…east coast for me to though it would have to happen before say June 1st. Having my first child (boy) July 1st. So i wouldnt been able to leave for a while after that.

Don’t pick a “major” metropolitan area… something a little smaller will definately work and also be MUCH more economic… areas like DC should definately be avoided.

can any one tell me what kind of time it will take to do this??? i understand there are many variables but like a weekend??? or just one day ???

Hya guys - I haven’t got a clue who any of you are so can’t add you to my list. So far we have 24 players signed up as potentials. Feel free to contact me off List if you want to.

Generally when we’ve run it before we run from Friday Afternoon to Sunday Late Afternoon - giving some time to get back home for Monday.

This gives us around 16 turns to play with and as the pace is fast we get a fair bit of the game done. Cost will be roughly $130 (we don’t know yet as I’ve not costed this) per nation - (we usually need 3 GMs to run the event and partake in the game). We could do a longer event but you guys would then have to take more time off work etc.

We might do this one with objectives to organise a definite winner if the game is close though (but that’s a sideline which I’ll discuss when we’re closer to filling it).

Hope that helps, get back if you want any further clarification. It’s great fun, hectic (try doing a turn in 30 minutes at home from scratch, then add 20 minutes to chat to team-mates and that will give you an idea).

Format is almost definitely 1650 12v12 as that works (we might consider experimenting with future events but for now I have to go with that).

Sounds like fun if you could do it during the summer months (I am off from June to mid August)…

I’m in Se Missouri but could travel to the east if I had to…New Orleans would work well for me as well…There are at least 3 guys I know who play ME from MS and LA that I would mention this to but of course I can’t speak for them in any regard…

But anyway, I’m interested depending on the timing…

We’re now upto around 37 players. More would be welcome as lots of though would be too far from the designated area to be appropriate for this event.
