FTF UK v US team

Hi everyone

We’re looking to do the FTF on the w/end of 11th September.

If you’re interested then get back to me please

US team is based in Illinois, European team will be based in Cardiff.

Thanks

Clint

I’m joining the US team and I am freakin’ stoked like a diabetic at a sugar-free pie eating contest. Weird I know but I’m a diabetic…

I’m going pretty much unless someone just puts a date on it I can’t possibly make…

I’d request not to have it on Oct 23…I’m taking a class that weekend required prior to taking my school superintendent’s exam.

Okay looks like this is on for the Oct 10-12th weekend

I’ve got around 10 US players and 6 UK players (3-5 more pending) so we can happily get a normal 1650 12v12 game for that.

So if you’re interested get back to me.

Clint

Bump once more

And again…

Just to confirm this is on. 10-11 UK players, 12 US players so should be a stonking game.

So there might, just might, be a space on both sides of the Atlantic. Team US wants to get its revenge this time so personal challenges at dawn…

Clint

Hi guys we’ve got 9 US players and 9 UK players looking to take part. Ideally we’d like one more on each side as I find that is the best game for everyone.

Anyone out there fancy the most intense, and fun!, game of Middle Earth ever?

Clint

Got back from Cardiff late last night after a fantastic FTF event. This was my 6th or 7th FTF and the best one yet. We played 14 turns of intense play and the end resulting in a draw was probably the best result for a very hard fought game.
Many thanks to the USA team for being such good opponents to my teammates on the UK team, Tina, Chris, Mike H, Mark, Mike G, Clint and Bryn for making the weekend so enjoyable and a special thanks to Sam for moderating the game.
Thankfully I took today off work to recover and catch up on my sleep.

On behalf of the USA team, I’d like to say we had a ball as well and thanks for the work building up and behind the scenes!

This was my first FTF and it was worth every minute in the car and the lost sleep and so forth! It was a great game and had a few surprises for us and I learned a few new things as well.

I met some top notch people and I appreciate the hospitality of Dave for hosting the event at his place.

Hope we can do this again!

I’d like to thank Sam and the rest of the guys for running the FTF game. It was my first and a lot of fun. I’d also like to thank Dave for hosting, he has a beautiful home and great hosting facilities. The guys on the team are wonderful people and I look forward to joining them in the future.

Our opponents played a great game, especially the Witch King and Dark Lieutenants. I just wish the Fire King would have sent me more gold on the last turn, 1 g.p. just didn’t go too far. It was an unusual game. Who would have thought that Northern Gondor would go through a game without losing a character?

What’s this about a draw??? When does 10,500 equal 9,500?

It was great fun and I’m looking forward to another contest. Of course, not before I spend a couple of months catching up on sleep.

Yes, a most enjoyable FTF weekend as always. Many thanks to ME Games for hosting and running the event and well done to the US team for getting together for what must be quite long distances apart.

I personally got back at 1230am and was up at 6am - nothing probably compared to Mark S but,… I could still play on for more

Hey, we really enjoyed playing dominoes with the NM

Cheers

Bryn
