I once tried to send twenty thousand gold to Dunland at 1922, only for those nice chaps at GAD to mistype the order as going to 3922, a Dragon Lord camp. Would GAD correct this? What do you think ... As it turned out this saved the Dragon Lord from bankruptcy and he went on to plague us for many turns thereafter.
Then there was my South Gondor position. I was trying to run a zero economy, so bought timber with my remaining gold. Trouble was I went a bit cross-eyed and also issued the same buy order with another character. Result? 99% taxation ... A close shave to say the least!
There are probably more embarassing ones, but I think I'll draw a veil over those ...
