Thanks Alan - yes the entire concept behind what we're doing is that we
want to improve the game. We want to bring it upto date, and that does
mean some changes, and lots of people don't enjoy change even when it
benefits them. Some are worried that we will change the game they love,
which we love as well. I think that for the long term benefit of the game
we have to bring in some minor changes though such as the new systems that
we have implemented. We are not doing this solely out of the goodness of our own heart. We
feel
it will improve the game, and hence that will bring in more revenue. But
the benefit to the players is that more players means more varied and
faster starting games. (1000 at present can take 6 months to fill for
example and we can only run 1 wk 1650 game and no more 3wk games despite a
few interested parties) and a general improvement in the quality of the
game we can produce.Everyone gets excited, I like to vent my more horrific side in private,
and
temper things down in public.
So thanks for your support here - much appreciated. Note you are more
than
welcome to post your post (and my reply if so desired) to the list. We
sometimes get players giving support off-list as they don't like to run
the
gauntlet of the pressure from some of the more vocal characters on the
list
like this (a lot less of the negative type off list).
