G21; The Dark Sun, Issue 20

Better late than never...

The Dark Sun, Issue 20.

DOL AMROTH FALLS!
This joyous news is indeed true; Dol Amroth home of the dispicable
South
Gondor despots, has fallen to the righteous servants of Sauron! But
this
is merely the icing on the man-flavoured-cake set before the Nazgul`s
table.
I have othger tales from the Realms of the Ringwraiths. Kal Nargil
was taken
back by the skilled emmisaries of Sauron and returned to it`s former
majesty
as a prison and watch-tower over the plains of Harad.
Adunaphel is on the eve of a great battle with forces of the
White
Wizard at 2527 [Woodstock, former SG, former CL settlement] and
expects to
win before pushing deeper into a South Gondor devoid of mannish
defenders!
The Lady has many desires to gain rich estates in Gondor as the wine-
growing
is said to be especially plentiful and delicious there. Her empire
grows
large...
The Cloud Lord reports a bumper harvest this autumn and has
reaped
great reward from the vaults of shoddy Freeps. As such Ji Indur has
been able to
field several armies, some of which are assisting the offensive in
Gondor.
To think just a few short weeks ago the Freeps thought they were on
the
brink of a breakthrough in Morgul Vale! The King of Assassins troops
are
now burning their way across the the southern plains of Gondor looking
for the former landlords who seem to have given up on their homelands
and
poor, deluded peoples...surely you don`t expect to hide in Morthondost
whilst your settlements fall one by one? JI is especially proud of
his pupils
this week, as his tally rises even higher...let`s see what Freeps were
"taken-out"...? Hmmm, it appears that the Cloud Lord is "only"
responsible for the
kidnappings of AERANDIR & DIS and for the chibbing of HURDRIAK &
WOTAN.
"Unfortunately", his minions could not slay GROIN as one of his
allies had already
taken care of that particular piece of business...oh, well. More
targets
are always available [it seems] if you visit an enemy capital! Oh,
and we thank
you for the Mace of the Huntsmen. These gifts are always a nice
little
bonus after an assassination!
A rare piece of success for the Freeps was the theft of
Pectoral!
Of course...now we know how to track you...and OVATHA, once more
Sauron
salutes your efforts, he was said to be "pleased and amused" by the
quick
slaying of GROIN in the duel at 4321. What do the Freeps expect when
they
send troops towards Mordor? There pathetic army took a village and
made
it a camp, they were routed in battle then lost DWALIN, DIS & GROIN
in the
effort. Still you have to credit them with pluck! Angulion has many
troops
in the field now thanks to a buoyant market and gradual expansion. His
assault on Dunland continues, with troops at their capital awaiting
another battle
this turn! What were TURIN & MALANTUR up to at the WK capital? Did
they seriously
think that they could kill JUKATH so easily then move their emmies in?
Ah, the best laid plans of Elves and Men...Jukath injured them both in
the "effort".
In a battle between the Easterlings over the bloodstained
land @
3916, the Rhun once more come to the aid of the Dwarves in a rare
defeat of the
Khand. The were nobly led by Jyganoth, whom i fear is not long for
this world.
Still he did have three times the troops of his Khandian brethren.
But where
to now? Does he take such remnants as there are south or back to the
capital where agents might lie in wait?
The Fire King, too, reports that a sizeable retinue of Freeps
have arrived
at his capital. But to what end all those emmies? OH, YES...Kynoden
was meant to
perform some crucial task there the week before, but seemed to have
got
himself injured instead. And Beorn? What did he do? Hope you guys are
hanging
around again...we need to keep our knives sharpened on dwarf bones.
Glorious Gothmog, Lord Marshal of the One Eye, forges deeper
into
Rohan and enemy territory. This week taking the last North Gondor
original
settlement at 2622 before being halted at 2522 by three enemy armies
of comparable
size to his own huge Legion. A close battle is predicted, but perhaps
we
have something to sway things our way? It will be no comfort to the
Freeps
that the Dark Lts have two other armies being armed and sent out to
join the
fray. But it does make my master smile.
UVATHA reports that his nation has been very busy this
fortnight in
"mainly covert operations" against enemy characters and hopes to reap
the
benefits of such actions "in the near future"!. He is also pleased to
anounce
that his troops are now ready to help out in the 2nd, eastern front
against
the Dwarven, Rhun and Northmen rabble! This is great news. We are
confident
that that front will be as successful as the assault on the Gondors!
Without a doubt the best piece of news this week has been the
Fall
of Dol Amroth, "slave city of the south". Such scenes of squalor and
mistreatment
have rarely been seen by a liberating force as those which greeted
the enormous
navies of the Corsairs of Umbar. In the attack the City of Sin was
reduced to
Major Town and a sizable garrison was left behind. A good thing too,
as
URDREK of Dunland turned up there with an army in attempt to regain
hold
of the bordello-rife slum and the freed slaves. Another close battle
is
anticipated, but what do the Dunnish think can be accomplished? Other
armies
are closing in from the east, and already there are Corsairs forces
North
of their position. It can only be a manouevre of spite and time-
wasting.
.In a pleasant surprise, the Corsairs cause was helped by the theft
of gold
from the besieged town of Morannon.
As you can see it has been another successful week in the
campaign
by the Servants of Sauron and his People`s Republic. I continue to
spread
the Word of Sauron and hope to bring you more news of Liberation next
week.
Your Servant,
Wrigol Perrit, Minister of Information.

Adunaphel is on the eve of a great battle with forces of the

Ahh, yes I have heard of that.
But are you sure that her desires are not great enough to encourage
her to switch sides for a minor fee? Perhaps the coalition of
ringwraiths are not as reliable as Saruon would like?

And whats with this total lack of a proper reception?
Here I come visiting one of your main castles, but where are everyone?
I assure you I'm just a kind old man seeking to have a friendly
parley. Preferably with one of the wise and powerful Nazgul's. But it
seems noone had time to come today.

S.

Saruman, a reply from the Lady Adunaphel to your kind offer...

"I am disatisfied with the Dark Servants and am fed up with
taking orders from Sauron and the rest of the Mordor scum. I am
willing to change sides to the free for 10k and may be
able to persuade the Corsairs to come with me. Obviously I won't
<immediately> change
sides but it would be nice if he was to send me the money."
Perhaps in a few ages of Middle-Earth, after the War is won and the
likes of Bugrug, Ugluk, Bill Ferny & Saruman are gone? Perhaps.

But in light of results just in, i think the Quiet Avenger would be
wise to stick by her Nazgul brethren. Further reports to follow in
the next edition of The Dark Sun!
