Everywhere the free offensive has ground to halt - Rhun free armies in full retreat; NW Mordor bogged down once more @ 3222; Gondor armies disappearing whilst the curse squads go about their business; Corsairland just one remaining free army to go.
All around resurgent dark forces are on the offensive. Huge armies in Rhun appearing as if from air. Harad been retaken step by bloody (free blood only) step. DS armies clustering in Mordor. DS death squads rampaging unchecked in Free pop sites.
Oh BTW for interested observers the Woodman has launched his first unassisted offensive he has advanced on a DS camp @ 2407…you can just picture the email message from the Woody to his long suffering Gondorian colleague…hang on another 30 turns on my way…

Not a pretty turn for the 12 nations of the free–seems like doubt, lack of co-ordination and panic has crept into their play. Once more the character totals make depressing reading for them, with the darks killing 13 or theirs whilst losing only 2. But it gets worse…Minas Tirith fell to the curse-emmy attack with some help from a superior BS cav army which wiped out a larger [but poorer equipped NG force]. So NG are looking for a new capital…for the record…

First of All, Congrats on Minas Tirith.
A well-coordinated and executed offense. And yes a pretty abyssmal turn for our side. I haven’t seen all the turns yet for our side, since one of our players didn’t even get the right turn results yet.
However, even with these results we stand fortified to rally against the evil that stands on our shores.

You guys really in this for the long haul? This game could easily smash all the records for longevity if you do. Still there will come a time when all you’ll be playing for is time. Not there yet…you guys can still win but the window of opportunity is getting smaller by the second…

Care to speculate on how many freep characters will get ko’ed this turn? Any thoughts as to where next the Curse/Emmy assault is heading to next? What are your plans to deal with the DS armies in Rhun? Are there even more ambushes awaiting your emissaries in Harad or elsewhere?
So many questions so little time and so few resources. Any regrets following the debacle at 3221? Imagine what the game would look like now if the flower of your character base was still alive.
Hindsight is a wonderful thing! Was the “BeechHead” that was Morannon worth it - really?
Care to share with us your strategy going forward? I’m sure you guys have it all thought out after all the victors do write the histories (only sensible thing Lord Theoden ever said)
