At the north Harad front, the army commander was far than impressed.
Already slowed down by the suicidal tactics of South Gondor, his master plan
of crossing the river and invading Gondor was not quick as expected. He
needed someone to blame. New 30 point backup commanders come to mind, so he
called for his second in command, and said.
Oi Stupid, why has the army stopped again? We haven't crossed the river, and
in the north more and more DS are crossing. I wanted to be first across, now
it looks like I won't even get a bronze for third. And why do you smell so
bad, did you forget to bath again ?
Sorry great sir, we are running as hard as our SG supplied war machines can
go. As for the smell, our soldiers appear to have stepped on something.
Well from the smell it appears to be doggie poo.
Sorry sir, but its not. It's from two small north gondor armies we have
trodden on. Doggie poo would be more solid than the defense that North
Gondor is putting up. But they do smell the same (especially after a battle
with dragons when the free dead have been left to rot for a day or two).
So who are we expected to defeat this turn?
Our spies show Vagaig and Veantur as the army commanders. Both are said to
be captain.
Vagaig and Veantur ? Captains ??? Wasn't Vagaig a 40 point commander and
Veantur a 50 point commander when this walkover started?
Maybe after the losses and setbacks that North Gondor have suffered, they
were demoted ?
Oh well, more training for the troops. Lets clean up this mess and cross the
river before the south manage to blow the bridge. With the sindar fleet
standing still at 2834 I don't want to try sailing across.
And slowly but surely Gondor were forced onto the defensive.
