Dear freeps,

Its not totally official but we’re starting to contact Rob/Clint/Harly etc to throw in the towel. Its only 8 vrs 10 with the corsairs staying neutral but you have the drop on us and we’ve mustered little offense to counter your incursions. With winter upon us we surrender to your superiority.

Usual regrets in that we’ve lost some nations and turns through mistakes but thats probably the same for your EO and WM players. I was starting to enjoy the freedom of Mirkwood although DolG was destined to fall this turn. I would have survived for a few turns as my 2 dragons would toast your forces at 3922 this turn. We did pretty well on the arti front but this is no substitute for riding out the initial storm.

On behalf of the DS I’d like to congratulate you on your victory and am sorry we did not push you further.

Thats disapointing. SG and I discussed this game, and we were convinced that the Corsair would join on your side…(otherwise whats he up to ?) and that it would produce an interesting game. But without the wealth and might of the south your in trouble. I never really got my emmis working efficently…thats my only regret (failed orders lead to more failed orders in a chain reaction of stupidity). I’d like to swap pdfs.

We nearly resurrected the DS but too many balancing acts always meant we were going to have trouble if the smallest thing went against us. Shame I think if we’d kept it together for another couple of turns we could have given you a run for your money. I take a little pride that Barad Ungol is still intact.
