Game 031: Post Mortem

So, game 31 just ended in a victory for the dark servants. I’m not sure how many players from the Free side of the fence are here, but I’ll ask anyway.

What happened on your side?

We had several things going for us: John Folz and Dave Holt (after joining us as a Neutral) were both excellent at crunching numbers and coordinating. With one notable exception, our team was 100% unselfish in play, making certain everyone had everything they needed to succeed. There was some bickering early on, but by the time turn 10 rolled around, everything was running smoothly.

I was the Cloud Lord. To the best of my knowledge, I never had an enemy presence on any of my population centers. Early in the game, I played very ‘on the edge’ and rarely got bit for it. I had many key successes that were barely in my favore numbers-wise by turn 7. If a few of those gambits had gone badly for me, the game could have had a very different outcome.

In any case, thanks for the game, Former Free Folk. Also a big thanks to my team mates:

#11 IAIN FERGIE
#12 JOHN FOLZ
#13 SCOTT MCKELVEY
#14 FLOYD GRUBB
#15 WILLIAM GAFFNEY
#16 JOHN BONADIO
#17 DAVID HOLT (Replacement)
#18 MATTHEW TORPIE
#19 AARON LUKIANOW
#20 CURTIS BOWERS
#21 JON SHUSHAN
#22 M JOYCE
#23 DAVID HOLT

Thanks very much Free Peoples for an enjoyable game!

You guys put the hurt to Duns early on and made me pay the price for my wanton aggression against NG. Served me right, eh? Nonetheless, the teamwork of the DS kept me going and for that I’m grateful!

For the past several turns, we couldn’t figure out why you guys didn’t quit until we found a veritable nest of FP characters at 0908 (trying to pick up a small trinket perhaps?).

Anyway, thanks again for the enjoyable game!
Dave

I would also like to add my thanks to the Free for an enjoyable game, and my congratulations to my Dark team mates for a job well done.
