However, you can count on me for a strong dose of brutality on the Eastern Front. I’m rather enjoying the slaughter of your sacrificial lambs, even if it doesn’t mean much in the grand scheme of things.
My men will kill on command. Torture, burn and pillage. But bathe? No way. Even the public execution of the criminally malodorous hasn’t made much of an impact.
The High Command has announced that Regent Caranthir, Supreme Commander of the North East Front has chosen to retire. Caranthir expressed his wish to spend more time with his family. As a token of gratitude the High Command has chosen to grant his wish. Caranthirs career started in the navy: at the Battle of Osgilliath (T2) where he supported by Lord Agirion, defeated the late Shogmog in relatively even battle. This victory was an omen of the battles to come. After the Battle of Osgilliath, Caranthir immediately marched his force onto Barrad Perras, which was sacked on turn 3. He allowed his army time to rest and rebuild at Osgilliath where he received reinforcements. Subsequently he was given command of the North East Theatre, and planned “Operation Slush”. This operation started on turn 7 were Caranthirs Army of the North East rendezvoused with elements of the Army of the East under Tarondor. Under the leadership of Caranthir this force advanced onto Durthang, where he defeated the ragtag armies of Commander Bradley and Veteran Brunet before capturing the Ice King capitol. Caranthir’s retirement leaves a leadership vacuum in the North East region of the realm, although the High Command is confident that junior officers are ready to step up to the challenge.
Arthedain has long prided itself on its peaceful policies. Until recently, it had not attacked a single settlement, prefering instead to politely invite the camps and castles of Angmar to join us joyfully.
All this is over. It seems Argaleb reacted badly to the, er, spirited rebuttal of his polite proposal for the peoples of the Rhudaur capital to join his merry throng.
“A threat is no threat unless caried through” proclaimed Argaleb as he gave the order. And sure enough, dawn broke with little remaining of Rhudaur except smoke and ashes.
“It was brutal. They massacred everyone. Even the children.” said one refugee. “I only escaped through the sewers”. Our informant was caught and killed by a patrol a few hours later.
Calls for a war-crimes tribunal were quashed for lack of a suitable venue.
False information, that was a deserter… I hope you’re proud. Good man, saw common sense, did what he could to stop the killing, and you cut him down like a dog, like the Dogs YOU are! You’re judgement day is fast approaching…just a litttlllllle closer now…!
Well first of all I believe it was the IK then the DrL but since both nations are either a) dead b) relocated with a) my preference but b) the more likely (in one case), VEO needs Wings to get the heck of of Mordor
That was a bad turn (first in 5) and it could have been worse. I lost the battle, you took my gold (DS apparently read nation messages…), kidnapped another character. Hmmm we gotta close that CL down.
Good luck with that. Cloudy is our resident MacGyver, able to turn paper clips and chewing gum into death-dealing devices. His favorite, though, is to use 3 pickled eggs, a package of Exlax and an irritable bowel to create the world’s most effective knockout gas. The lingering nausea, sometimes lasting for years, keeps the victims passive (though the mess is a little much at times).
It seems the Harad couldn’t survive without the FPs help. Oh well. I guess my allegiance has been decided for me. Can’t have everything easy all the time. I hope you chose wisely.
There can only be one #25, and that is me. However, that won’t prevent me from welcoming this dastardly imposter to the DS side… in fact, I’m sure his evil cunning will serve Sauron well.
If you want to take a shot at me, I’m easy enough to find - just look for the huge piles of Northmen and Eothraim corpses. I’ll be somewhere nearby, flaying some hapless captive or counting severed ears… you know, typical upper management duties.
