Game 18 at last

Understand your posts do not I sometimes.

Is “I” a verb? What do my posts do? AAAHHHHHHHH! I can’t play these guys anymore!!! ED! It’s working!! You’ve got in my head, under my skin…!!! I’ll get the nail clippers and start hacking the back of my neck to remove the microchip…! I can’t take it anymore!!!

Beora

Why Brad, not that long ago you fussed at me for my “psychological this” and “sociological that”…

No…!! I’m sorry!! Please make it stop! I’ll do anything you want!!! Please…!!! I’m sorry I’m sorry I’m sorry I’m sorry I’m sorry…

Beora

That was one of the best posts I’ve ever seen on this forum.

No Assessments, just plain old boasting and bluffing

Nope - A short game would mean you are defeated… this is way to long a game :frowning:

The up side is - without cohesion we have given you guys a run for ya money… might make you think what could have happened don’t it

You guys showed plenty of cohesion for the first 10-12 turns. I reiterate that I was impressed (and intend to steal ideas from) some of the stuff I saw you guys do.

Nobody played a perfect game (no one ever does).

Sorry for rubbing salt in your wounds as this game winds down but this is payback for what we had to sit through and I’m afraid you guys will just drop and run here at the end so take your medicine.

Dits,

I know you have been among the missing lately, but you do realize that Bernd did not start out this game and has only been playing for a short time don’t you? I read your other posts to Darrel as well, out of touch would certainly describe you. Last couple of turns have not been kind to your side. This turn will probably be just as unkind, but we will wait and post the casualty returns some time tomorrow so stay tuned.

“Don’t believe everything you read”

“Appearances can be deceiving”

Funny…see? I mean, real funny…you are lecturing us on our internal workings…??? Do you not see the hilarious irony there? Lecture us on how many super characters you have if you want, but please, [sniff] please don’t tell us that what has passed for a Grudge game had anything to do with a “team”… My oh, if it wasn’t so disappointingly sad it would be, well, funny…!

:bash:

Beora

Oh please, I wasn’t lecturing you at all. (But now I am) :fork:

I’m pointing out that you guys showed several actions requiring teamwork (pooling command artifacts, coordinated target selection vs. Rhu and WK, hiding PC’s we could go on and on here) and then things seem to fall apart based upon your actions at 2008. (But you guys had lost by then anyway.)

What I’m hearing now is excuses and insults. You guys won’t even say we made any decent moves as a team…all I’m hearing is that we are bad and that you guys had no teamwork and otherwise we’d have lost to you. That’s a load.

How much team work do you need to pull off more than one steal a turn?(Until last turn that was pretty much what you guys averaged).
How about naming a full roster of characters and recruiting? Cardolan (and others?) seems to be short in both areas…is that teamwork’s fault?
Even 2-3 nations can get together and make something work in an area.

I fully admit that our team didn’t play a perfect game…I made several mistakes myself…but I can now understand why some of the “veterans” I see are fairly mediocre to bad players…they never find fault in their own actions always bad luck, other people etc. so they never improve.:bash:

Today is brought to you by the letter E

Have fun and make it fun for others.

hey Darrel & other DS,

nobody said you are bad (well technically, you are  ) - and the reasons why you aren’t beaten yet are manyfold - no excuses here.
my personal opinion is that a good FP team SHOULD have beaten you by now, and, as I said before, everybody can draw his own conclusions from that.
I agree with you insofar as a veteran doesn’t automatically make a good player, and a bunch of skilled individuals don’t make a good team. cooperation is everything, and lack of it means losing - very simple.
ATM we are trying our best to improve. you might think you have won. If WE think you have won, we will concede the game to you. so talk as much as you like, you’ll have to be patient

Hi Darrel,

thanks for the E. I had two 30+ age female co-workes filling out the colours and attaching it to their computer screen.
You made their day.

Sometimes you never know, what motivates people.

Boys Boys, Let’s have some fun here. I am awaiting my turn so don’t know how things have gone. I have lots to look forward to I hope. Will get to see the Northmen in action. The West looked to be interesting maybe some interest in other places as well.

You know Bernd, I have been hearing this a good team should have beaten you from your posts several times. Lewis Morton’s team was supposed to have been a good team they lost to us. I really do feel your team is losing to us; as you say we’ll need to have patience until that conclusion is reached by your side as well. In fact we have played any who asked and are as yet undefeated. In fact this team has never lost a nation except to a game with members who are on the team. So, if I were simply to look at win percentages and scores etc I would have to conclude that this is a pretty good team.

Your team is a cobbled together team and has not had a lot of time to come together. Perhaps it will not get that chance. Your team started strong and for the first 5 turns or so gave us a lot of concern. However it seems something went wrong with your side around turn 6 and you have never quite recovered. Not being able to read your turn reports I assume you’re still full of confidence because most of your nations economies are still intact. We haven’t hit the Eothraim, Northmen, or for that matter many of your nations. However the situation in Cardolan and Arthedain is not going well for you. I think even you have to admit that. Dragons have turned the tide for us, and we were playing for time to get the assassins and mages where we needed them. We are turning the corner there.

As I said this is a good game if both sides like their chances. We will play it out…see how good you guys feel this evening.

Cheers
Brad J

lost elladan, collar of might, tinculin. considering we had no scout of enemy characters in 3627, we bagged tinculin and abyss, not a bad day. mage artifacts were a push, agent artifacts were a push. you got elladan, we got spirit mastery.
guess you spanked us again, eh? you might be winning( your guestimate), but parking your sickness team, and two high end killers at 3627 doesn’t exactly indicate your dictating tempo, but rather reacting. enjoy your continued stay in the now empty hex, the elves crapped in the beds, pee in the cups.

sm
still awaiting my turn.

Arthedain made a nice move with Minastir to arrive at the Rhudaur capital with plenty of horses and warmachines…which will end in a repeat of what happened when you tried the manuever with Argeleb at 2006.

Meneldir is already coughing heavily and running a high fever…too bad he won’t be around to see Arthedains capital fall this turn.

All told a fairly straightforward turn.

However it seems something went wrong with your side around turn 6 and you have never quite recovered.

Something went wrong on turn 0… that there even is a game to play is a bit of a miracle. Without a doubt, this has been the least enjoyable game I’ve been in due to the internal dynamics.

If the DS have a winning hand, then please play it and get this thing over with.

@A.D. - I think you guys have done a fine job in the NW.
