Sorry Jeremy. I mentioned this happens in more games than it should. Hopefully the two of you can can have a boat party while you are there and get the communication going.
My apologies to the Free and to South Gondor. He had sent me an email and I hadn’t thought to coordinate naval movements with him, and he clearly hadn’t thought of it either. We’ve just corresponded; but I wanted to publicly recall my comments, lest other neutrals think less of the FP because of them, as I was entirely in the wrong!
While we are on the subject. Can someone tell Rhudaur to stop bothering me, with all his emails I can barely keep up with the offers and counter-offers and cunning plots emerging from the remanants of our brother Anorian kingdom.
Nothing like 5 FP incons popping up within a turns march to get the pulse racing
One might think the Cardolani are goading the Rhudaurian forces into an attack?
Could this be an attempt to force the northern neutrals to declare for the Ds so that the southern neutrals would be “forced” to join the other side for the sake of a balance?
It could be but the thought is misnomer from the beginning. There is no such animal as balance in this game…everything is a counter…and so much depends on the players and their play.
Let me be clear: Neutrals of the world of Middle Earth. Do not let the free people use such tactics to decide the fates of your nations. Even the dark servants have not resorted to or heard of such.
DO what you wish. But do it for the sake of your people…not the sakes of the free people’s paltry attempt to shove the neutrals into action.
Well worded, but right out in the woods, the brotherly armies of Cardolan and Arthedain wish Rhudaur no harm, to the contrary, I might add, we would welcome our estranged brethren with open arms. As you know and somehow forgot to mention, this is a fight between the ill prepared first Nazgul and those who will exact their toll. This blatant attempt to cajole sympathies amongst the undecided is called - fear mongering.
Your fanciful tales and wishful thinking (Rhudaur declaring DS and attacking us! ) seem a bit confused doggie. We are not trying to “force” any neutral to declare, merely pointing out the reality of the current situation in Angmar. Indeed, we would welcome the sundered Rhudaur back to the Anorian triumvurate they would hasten the inevitable purging of the Witch King from the north.
Since the Cardolani wants to state realities let us be clear on the future of the NorthWest. The presence of five army icons within a short distance of Rhudaur is to be expected if battle with the Fist of the North is to be had. Do you expect him to march on you when your armies obligingly make the trek on their own? I seriously doubt Rhudaur feels estranged from brothers who talk of open arms while marching to war so very close to his borders. The arrogance with which you proceed belies your words intent. It can be surmised from the reality you talk of that Rhudaur had better begin negotiations because Hey the Freeps are coming and if you are in the way you might miss the awesome chance to join us. It is not like we can’t conquer you anyway when the WitchKing is gone…and of course he will be.
I would hope that is not the strategy of your diplomacy Grell. You should let the Arthedain speak with equals before you condescend to speak with your betters.
I also hope the Rhudaur can see the reality as you paint it. You think he is irrelevant. I do not.
Again masterly crafted and special thanks for not missing the truth entirely, I for one did like the “when the WitchKing is gone” argument. Maybe Murazor feels slighted, when those hiding behind the natural walls of Mordor foresee his demise in the North, with the sole intent to frighten the undecided. I am amazed to see how “ill prepared” is suddenly turned into complete defeat, we do expect and are indeed prepared for a tough campaign against your superior.
Did the passage of our armies violate any agreement with Rhudaur? Are there 3, 4 , 5 or more armies and where are they? I believe we should leave the thinking and deciding to the leaders of Rhudaur, whatever the outcome may be.
Chastising my brother in arms ill becomes you, as you take him literal at first and in the end you dismiss him entirely. But then, what else can one expect from lackeys who blindly follow the burning eye.
How can an unfree spirit be the equal of a king is a mystery, maybe a chat with Gandalf will clear that one up.
The first and most important step to remove Murazors unwanted hordes from Arnor has been a tremendous success - the former city of Carn Dum lies in ruins. Even after a good fire cleansing the stench looms over the broken walls, but this will not last.
It may sound strange, but without the cooperation of Murazor it would not have been possible. He left the place virtually undefended and we are grateful for this gesture.
In his folly The Witch King of Angmar expended resources improving Carn Dum to a mighty city, yet when the Dunedain armies were tearing down its foul orc breeding pits Murazor decided to head into the elven ruins of Eregion searching for the heirlooms of Fëanor’ sons. Sauron has strange priorities when a trinket of Curufin is worth more than the realm of Angmar.
The Dunlending hold steadfastly to there neutrality in the face of much coersion.
Saruman the White preaches the values of the Free alliance. Sauron the Dark Lord tempts us with the lure of power untold. Both add significantly to neutral morale. How will they react when our commanders arrive!
Free and Dark alike push for alliance. Both have skillful negotiators acting on there behalf. We are neutral and proud, any change to this situation and there will be much warning.
To join an alliance is akin to saying you cannot stand on your own 2 feet. It is a deed once done, that can never be undone.
It looks like the unpopulated fortifications are increasing in the DS ranks. I’m not good at math, but isn’t that 2-0 in favor of the FP for capital removal?
