For the voyeurs, the FP just burned Morannon. Unhappily, we didn’t kill any of the commanders opposed to us. But we did wipe out a pile of cocky Rhudaur characters who declined the opportunity to refuse challenge…or accept guarding…or take their vitamins…regardless, Rhudaur lost a pile.
Oh, and Kal Nargil is going to die too shortly. Camps are being cleared in the outlying areas, a little brushfire has started in the DS rear, and we don’t see them doing anything on the pop front. Eventually, you realize, those characters are going to have to get paid for - you can’t play sucky-cheater OBN if we keep burning capitals you know, you WILL run out of MTs and funding one of these days… 
Tut tut it is rare I accuse anyone of cheating and as you have done so I assume you can back this up?
I will now have to ask the GMs for a full investigation to clear our name as I do not see we have done anything in this game that is not allowed.
Of course if we have done so we will give you the game right away, if not then I will expect a full apology for I will not stand idle by and play those who call us cheaters and slander our good name.

I do take such things very seriously as you may have worked out by now.

What MEGames calls cheating and what those of us who’ve honourably quit such behaviour that’s against the “spirit” of the rule, if not the “letter of the law” are quite different. It’s sucky play. My team will not engage in such tactics out of principle, and we haven’t lost as the DS yet. You desperately need to play this way - and yet, you’re still losing through the long spring and summer of this game. Screw the toothless and contradictory “investigative” powers - those of us who know, know. And we look down on those who should know better.
There’s a difference between “broken”, as has been proven, and “order sequence manipulation”. Feeding millions of men with 2 food is no more stupid than the 948 flying 10,000 timber across the breadth of the land in 2 weeks. OBN is broken. We roll our eyes at you for needing it…:rolleyes:

I am sorry if its in the rules and a team wishes to play in any way shape or form then it is never cheating in my book and I would never call a team on any action that may or may not take as a result.
It is clearly now a question of honour and unless we recieve a full apology I for one will not play on.

I will not apologize for having a strong opinion on what’s broken with the game. I’ve had this argument with Clint and it’s gone in circles. The “rule” was an erroneous and toothless tiger when it was created.
But my point is this: try everything you can, we’re still going to beat you in the game. You play your way - and still lose.

Hey you are entitled to a view, you are not entiled to call peopel cheaters as they do not hold that same view.
Personal insults are not meant to be carried out within the game context as far as I am aware.

Now If I want to play with half my nations having huge amounts of gold as a result of nice prices early on what do you think I am going to do give it away?
Have you not worked out you dont even have the orders early on to throw the stuff away at times.
If you put in a double sell and the game lets you sell say 25k both times for two amounts, yes I have done it, how is that cheating?
If you think ME has a broken system whats that to do with me.
Now what rules did we agree at the start, did you place any limits on us?
Have we broken those that we agreed?
Then how is your view on a busted flush our fault and us cheating?

DS gold hoarding to drive up the market so that the DS can live off two or three camps with max chars and armies is using the loop hole of ONB by building up the gold with one nation rather than a few. It’s the same breaking of the rules and the same unbeatable combo as using 948’s to do it, it simplay takes 5 turns longer.
Using this loop hole to bypass Clint’s house rule about ONB is just that, a loop hole that ends in the same thing. Results are that the DS win games they should lose and are out played in because they can conjure some mounts for 30k each a turn and run 12 nations on 12 MTs or Cities. This combo means that if the DS just play below advantage and not allow the FP to wipe the broad with them by turn 8, then the game is very heavily skewed to a DS victory. When econ is not a factor in a team’s successes then it’s all about kidnaps and assassins. The two ways you win this game other then a One Ring victory are you take the other nations PC’s and bankrupt them, OR you take out all their characters. When you remove the means to bankrupt the DS, and stack that with the fact that they have such and overwhelming edge in the character game and ability to take nations down with kidnaps and assassins, then what you have is the DS wining next to every game, let’s say 9/10. And that’s whats going on with teams of good players that play DS and use the bull s-it means to ONB. It’s next to unbeatable way to play the DS every time no matter what the other side dose. Those that argue with this are those that don’t want to win games without using the loophole.
Might I add to my last post to agree that is a major issue/problem with the game and the house rule and that 90% fault lays there in still mounts selling for 65 this turn is just ONBing at its worse…

So come on put your game on the line, if we have you win if we dont we win, call it o on simple matter, dont call us cheats when you dont have the guts to go for it.

You had the choice of nations, you had a choice to set out the rules for the game at the outset, you chose not to limit this in any way, whose fault is this?

Now for the record we have lots of gold with lots of nations not just one, the reason is that prices have been that good we can do it, so why not.

Now I do note with interest that it has been stated in all the games your side has player that at no time has the gold limit ever gone over the limit imposed, even on the first turn as a dark servant. I find this hard to believe you had the orders to limit what you did each turn or who you stole from never to breach the cap or did more than one transfer that may or may not have worked.
But hey thats you line and you have my view on it, I chose not to think it possible but that just my view, I cannot call you cheats as I dont have all youir turns.
On that note come on call us on it you know you wnat to lets decide the game on a dice roll then and not in the field.

I am not aware ownership of a gun in the US is illegal because it may be stolen and used in an illegal action or that as a result you are as responsible for the results as the person who stole it.
Or that any action not deemed illegal is by default illegal if people believe it should be.
