Game 225 - Turn 4

And first blood goes to the Dark Servants. May Camthalion rot where he lies. Coward of Gondor, turn and run from challenge, eh?

  • Ben
    Dark Lts.

Dark Servants 1 - Free Peoples 0

…and, excuse me, sir… what’s the count of the Population Centers???
Correct me if I’m wrong:

1 town, 4 villages and 1 camp already destroyed or captured by the Freeps;
1 town, 2 villages and 2 camps will follow this turn.

On the other hand the DSs are pride to announce that they have already taken 2 villages, unfortunately one of those has already been taken away while the second one will be reconquered this turn…

So:

Dark Servants 0 - Free Peoples 11

The question is: how long will the Rhun Easterlings survive???
we hope that the camps he has placed on the Ash mountains will provide him enough gold to be able to hire a new army at their capital, since this one will be soon wiped out

Sincerely yours

Bard I, official sales agent for Northmen Ltd

Oh Roberto, we’re not really counting population centers, are we? That’s not an effective way to go about these things. As for the Rhun Easterlings, I think they’ll be just fine. I’d be more worried about how long you’re going to last. The Khand are on the march, and there’s nothing you can do to stop them.

  • Ben
    Dark Lts.

Oh please Roberto, can’t I get a town in the Rhun area…? I so much want to fight a foe that actually hits back and doesn’t just play dead like the WK.

Hope he stays to fight in Mt Gundabad. Ops, sorry I forgot, we have both exits covered, so I guess he doesn’t have much choice.

I also decided to end Rogrog’s pityful carreer as an army commander. I’ll wipe him out this turn. And what a brave deed, sticking a knife in Camthalion’s back! He’ll be avenged soon, I promise.

/Aragorn

Avenged?? HA! We shall end the misery of more of your fools shortly. And your time shall come, false king of Gondor.

Greetings Servants of Sauron!

Elves from the House of Elrond bear this message: you have no hope in this contest. Your lord is but a shadow and the light is coming. It is now over the Misty Mountains, and Goblin’s Gate was cleansed in its flood. And before long Barad-dur will drowned in the deluge. Flee to the east! Great lords will soon be upon you.

– Gildring, Herald of Elrond

off character-- Hi Guys! Glad to be playing on the same side as the Italian contingent and a few new, and very bright, teammates. I’m glad to see some impressive opponents on the other side. David Murray is a name I’ve seen often, spouting knowlege and good common on the forums, and Mr. Floyd was once a teammate of mine, though I’d be surprised if he remembers that very brief game we won as the Free. And I see the Dark Lts. themselves are headed by a worthy opponent. That will make Barad-dur a real prize. Hope you don’t mind me writing in character from now on. I think it adds extra drama to the game, and since I always choose names from Tolkien’s books, it allows my imagination to roam about the histories of my characters before they slay their enemies. So, henceforth, Gildring I’ll be!

cheers,

Nick

Flee to the Grey Havens, wretched Elf. Your kind are no longer welcome in Middle-Earth. Saruon’s wrath shall destroy you all or drive you into the sea.

  • Urzahil, Minion of Sauron

Nick - Gildring,

Of course I remember you! I’ll never forget what you guys pulled off in the Rhun area in . . . 227 was it?? Still gives me a wee lil’ grin when I think about it.

Sadly, that pathetic 227 is the only “win” I’ve been involved in since making my MEPBM comeback a year and half ago. And, technically, I was still a newt as my icon failed to change. But that doesn’t mean we will lose this game. Oh no. My luck is bound to change! You’re going down, man! I’m digging a fresh hole in the sand for you even now!

Good to see you again, though!

Russ / Khand

This name Gildring means nothing to me. It matters not for the reach of the Cloud Lord is long and this name is now written in the Book of Grudges, from where it will be stricken in blood in due time! A reminder to all who cross the Cloud Lord

Shoglic the Maker
Scribe of Ji Indur

I bear this message from Master Elrond,

Shoglic, the time is near at hand for you to face oblivion. Your master Ji Indur will face a similar fate. Remember, the Book of Grudges will be torched by the hands of a Noldo Lord.

– Gildring, Herald of Elrond

Foolish elf, I have warned you already. Flee to the Grey Havens for your time has long since passed. Heed this warning now or face dire consequences.

  • Lord Urzahil

I bear this message from Master Elrond:

“Urzahil, you are merely mortal, an errand boy for a faltering lord. I have seen the First Age fall and with it the might of Morgoth. I have seen Sauron himself crumble at the Battle of Dagorlad. If these powers, Valar and Maia, can not stand against the light, then what hope do you have? None. Remember, when the circle is drawn and the watchers gather round, you would be wise to refuse challenge from one of the Noldor.”

– Gildring, Herald of Elrond

I would call you out, cowardly elf, but you most of your kind are already marching west. What feeble forces you have left shall be swept away. You have no need to come to Mordor, little one. I shall move out to meet you shortly.
