Wager? tell you what I’m now selling ski holidays from the beautiful resort Carach Angren. Amongst its many attractions is a real live dragon & its untouched by war (yet…). I’m willing to wager a timeshare in one of the dingier parts of Angren - sufficient?

Ok, DS, it’s time to throw in the towel. Let’s look at the situation:
12 FP nations (including 2 neutrals)
Out: No one
13 DS nations (including 3 neutrals)
Out: WK, FK, Rhuduar
Crippled: DogL, DragL, Harad
Or, in other words, almost half your side is combat ineffective, and you’ve done no damage to the FP. You haven’t even burned a single MT in the EOPlex!
It’s been a good game, guys, but I’m afraid your time has passed.
Do you really think we will give up that easy?

Well fact remains that currently we dont view the game as you seem to. Hence we will not be dropping. If you are bored then quit, otherwise just play the game.
Its a one week turn around, so boredoom is not an issue. AR, CA, DU, and NE players can march/sail to the fight twice as fast as normal.
The longer you stay in the game, the longer we get to improve our character skills. We have an abundance of doulbe scouters at +50 rank. The curse squad is coming. Elf knives are now sharp enough. You have already seen our multiple emmy teams in action. After we throw together a dragonslayer or two to wander around the Misties, what is left to do? The answer is: continue to practice the FP character game.
Forgive the long message, but I want to point out the DS’s obstacles to Vandal.
First, let me congratulate the DS on what has been a very good early and middle game. At one point or another you had CO, NG, CA and WM literally on their knees. It sounds like you played the market game successfully several times. WK stayed in the game for a very long time, and Dragon appears to still be in the game.
NG was a good fight for the DS, but the nation has now been picked up by one of the other FP starting players. NG still has comms and emmys in relative abundance. The nation won’t ever be one of the big dogs again. However I do not believe you are going to squeeze NG out of the game. I doubt you believe any other FP nation is teetering on the edge any more.
You guys just don’t seem to be in a position to mount a sustained offensive game at this point. The FP treasuries are staying at about zero, and the market prices stink. That is not an accident. Where do you foresee you will get the gold you need?
Easterling alone seems to be able to get a lot of troops together, but he can only help relieve the heat for so long. Nice run up to Rhubar, by the way. The military game is over in the sense that you cannot field any maneuvarable armies (again except Easterling). The FP will just continue to plow forward with 5000HI hordes and 30point backup comms…
We are not bored, we are just looking for a fight.

Fine you may have the edge but seen sides come back from worse.
I simple say put your money where your mouth is, you called it, if you have won how many turns to need to mop up?
I dont think you have won and will match whatever you want to put up, but of course expect odds since you have called the victory.
Gloat as you like but expect a sharp come back when you claim you have won and have yet to do so.

You are correct in that there are numerous games where the loosing side has turned the table. Many of those games are similar to the situation we are facing now. But lets be honest, alot of those turn-arounds happen because players on the team with the upper hand decide to drop and move on to other games.
I am not blowing sunshine up your skirt when I state unequivically that none of the FP nations that remain are going to drop out. And the majority of remaing FP players are quite happy to play the character game, knowing that the military side of the house is already in the bag.
Pearly, very well put and I appricate the lack of pompous bravado in your posts, adding that is a rather distasteful measure. All in all however, we have as a team discussed this and simply are not ready to throw in the towel. Do we plan to fight to the bitter end in a hope to cost people money?, thats not my plan. But right now I think we wish to muddle through.
