I've been busy playing diablo II. Now that I've got my

Ah yes, The joys of Diablo 2. A fun game I must add and
a lot harder
than the first too.
Multiplayer seems a disaster. We lose more players to
computer lag than to monsters. Computer lag is when your computer doesn't
accept any orders for your person. Seems your character is frozen, but not
the computer forces. So you die.
The company that runs diablo said 'we tested multiplayer
with 100,000 players, not 1 million plus people as we are now getting. And
we are upgrading our servers to reduce the lag'.
However we play at home with only three computers linked
together. I think it's a design thing that can't be fixed (it should be like
starcraft where everyone slows down).
I could get the characters all onto Hell (one player)
I'm in act ii at nightmare with my amazon. I'm more upset
with lack of space for all the goodies I'm picking up.
two player on hell against Leoric was like walking into a
white screen the
amount of arrows that came at you was just silly. Oh dear,
veering off topic
again <g>
who was leoric again ? In the normal game, I've only really
had problem with the worm-like think that freezes you as soon as you go down
the stairs (I think it's the end of act II). The forests in Act III was no
problems to my bowman (those pesty blow-guns got my friend's barbarian).
Diablo wasn't hard once I worked out when to call up my Valkyrie. Its AFTER
Diablo casts his 360 degree expanding damage spell.
> Too busy bleeding to death from large numbers of agents
that

Don't you people know
that we you also
>need mages and emissaries ?
Obviously some people on our team are holding out on us.
Agents ??? We
don't have any agents.
You seem to have forgotten to include the
after that
statement.
> That was before a few huge SG armies came down and stomped
>all over me. And then some unknown free agent kidnapped my
commander. Two
>commanders went up, none come back (one was taken in the
fighting). I
really
>do need to find a dragon if I want to get past SG.
I still have a few huge armies around the place. Might
be time to go
sailing again I am not sure though.....
Tell me about it. Who was the idiot/very smart person who
had plains down in the harad and corsair area ?.
. Meanwhile I apologise for stealing
your commanders. They are being treated well.
Can I have them back ? I'm thinking of going for two out of
three with you in a few turns.
> They got bored of stomping on defenseless corsair places,

fortunate
>teammates in his side
I have offered stuff to those on my side and have been
sending stuff to
a few people. I am just waiting for the Winter to set in so
that my
production goes back up.
Please send more stuff. The more you send to support up
losing nations, the less you have.

Edward John Smith)
I just have to hold you off long enough for the others to do
some damage.
??? I'm saying the same thing ???
> Bugger off, you lot plenty of everyone else
I think
you
>STOLE about 25K worth of money from the DS last turn. That
sort of money
>should be enough to fund most of the free armies (not
including SG) for at
>least 5 turns.
It isn't enough to fund NG either. It wouldn't even fund
half of my army
maintence costs for 1 turn let alone 5.
I know the feeling. The corsairs might be dead, but his
armies and m/t with forts are still there.
I also think that you all stole about 25K back from us
though<g>
> p.s a question for all you Scots out there. Where did the
>word URR come from ? (as in Urr river and valley). I was
reading up on
>James Maxwell. He was one smart cookie (even if the far
side comic of the

>of the land he lived in, and I couldn't work out why anyone
could name a
>river Urr. Then I found out that it is named after the Urr
parish. Now I
>can't work out why a parish is named Urr.
Damn good question. I shall ask around (one of my best
friends did
Scottish History at University for a couple of years) I can
only think that
when naming it they forgot the name and went "er" and that
changed into URR
and the name stuck. Nice name for a character though eh!.
> PPS Edward John Smith - captain of the titanic. A braver
man
>than I.
Never understood the obsession over the Titanic film
myself. Boat sets
off, hits iceberg and sinks end of story, no ?
I didn't see the movie, I've a pet hate at historical movies
that modify facts as the directory/writer/producer thinks it will make a
better movie. Even BHraveheart had me want to throw up when they changed a
few things.
