I have a couple of questions I hope some people dont minding
answering...
1) When recruiting a Double Agent, are natural ranks or ranks with
artfifacts used ? Also what sort of skill do you need to recruit a
Double Agent ?
2) When recruiting a character from a dead nation, are the natural
ranks or ranks with artifacts used ? Also how much should an 80+ Emmy
use to recruit a Natural 50.
3) Does anyone have any clues they could offer to solve the riddle

Automagic has a bribery estimator built in. It estimates that an 80
emissary trying to bribe a 50 emissary has a 55% chance if offering
8,000 gold. This rises to 65% if 10,000 is offered, and 75% if 12,000
is offered. Don't know about recruiting double agents but in general
you stand a better chance of recruiting if your emissary rank is
greater than their agent rank, artifacts help.

You have found a very difficult riddle, perhaps the most difficult
in the game. It remains unsolved to the general public, and I doubt
many have the answer. I sure don't.
Could you refresh my memory, there were accents over at least two of
the letters correct? Which ones and which accents?

The only clue I can give is that it's a bad idea to answer "Gandalf" as a DS character. I lost a character that way. Of course, that may have been random.

A note on riddles.
Every game there is one riddle for the DS & one for the Freep that
will result in a character from that alliance dying, even if the
correct answer was given.

I believe it...but in this case it really could be an answer.
How exactly did the DS die? Is there always a "standard" death
message? Are those two things the same in this case? Lots of
unknowns.
Anyone that wants to may debate the Gandalf answer OFFLIST with me.
