Game 38 Clint v James Knight

Quick glance at the turns - see what you mean about the navies…

WOOOOOOOOOO OHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH!!!

Looks like a couple of army moves have gone awry as well James…

No errors so far I’m pleased to say.

Clint (player)

There are no army moves awry - they’re all part of the plan

But you did good on the navy blocks - they’re what I would have done too, except I would have staggered the QA and the Harad navies to do max damage.

Well, at least I know that repots of your prowess aren’t exaggerated! :stuck_out_tongue: But it’s all good - my plans are coming together

JK

Got the overrun at Imladris? I love that move…!

And what move is the overrun at Imlandris? I’ve played the Noldo countless times and never had that army overrun.

Scott

I don’t know how ya’ll do it, I couldn’t stand the suspense of a three week turnaround, I’m chomping at the bit after a week.

Scott

lol me too! but it does give me the chance to review and reflect - impulses are sometimes good, but not necessarily the most effective source of inspiration…

as for Imladris overrun, I thought the army had to move through the hex in order to overrun, which is why I thought Cirdan would have been safe. I guess I was wrong! :stuck_out_tongue:

Well you did want to learn some tips didn’t you…

Orders done, just need to send them in.

Clint (player)

Send them in?

Don’t you have to just turn around and hand them to someone?

Confused,

Scott

lol I did indeed! :stuck_out_tongue: just so long as I’m able to teach somethings too  I think another FTF is in order - my play improved dramatically after that, and I think I’ll need all the assistance I can get!

My first draft of orders is done, but I’m gonna have a rethink, I reckon. I’m gonna step up my game and stop playing little leagaue

I should have my orders in either today or tomorrow, but as usual, no pressure - send in yours whenever.

JK

Don’t you have to just turn around and hand them to someone?

I wish - save me a bunch of effort - especially if they could be error checked for stupidity.

The nearest I got to a SS turn was where I left my orders in the office in the in-turn pile and missed out a few orders… :stuck_out_tongue:

Clint (player)

There we go - orders in and only a day late  Ready when you are

JK

Hopefully get them in tomorrow night (Wed) - had a kiddy w/end and tonight was our GM grudge meet so got side-tracked. Had to do some work as well (disgusting I know!)

Clint (player)

Congratulations!!

Lol no worries - that’s why I say “when you’re ready” There will be plenty of times when I have to wait till payday! Just easier when I have startup free turns! lol

JK

Hmmm, where to start? Perhaps a less interesting turn than it could have been?

Angmar: Failed to threaten a camp with Elladan - that’s just silly! Other than that the war machine is rolling nicely with 1,000,000 HI due to land on WK/Rhu over the next few turns!

Mirkwood: Only interesting thing is that the Drg Ld moved to block outside of Dol Guldur - I’m not worried, although I’m curious as to what the Goblin Gate army is going to do…

Rhovanion: I caught a sneaky Dog army although Bulrakur snuck past and is on Tir Limlight. Not a great problem as the other Eo cavalry can catch him up soon  Also moved on to Carvarad which will burn this turn.

Rhun: Nothing interesting at all - as quiet as a mouse! So I’ll expect Din to make an appearance any moment! And who is that tricksy army south west of Shrel Kain…? I might have to do something about that.

Ithil: I lost Minas Ithil to threat as expected, and may well lose Osgiliath too! On the plus side I upgraded the fort to a castle so that might help it resist the threat  And Barad Perras will fall this turn too, so the IK’s gonna start hurting real soon.

Harad/Umbar: Predictable the QA and Harad navies were sunk. Two towns fell to NG and Cor. This turn Harad will lose another 3 towns and an MT. Hmmm, there’s not gonna be much left soon

Overall: this is the easy part for me, I guess. The honeymoon before Clint’s agents get up and running, and where we’re still in the opening moves phase. Interestingly Clint has bought out the mounts and a load of leather - I wonder what for! :stuck_out_tongue:  Still, I produce enough of both not to worry too much…

What’s your perspective, Clint?

JK

you were lucky…

Clint (player)

lol I was lucky?! how? :stuck_out_tongue:

ALL - well most your navies to one place in the south - failed to get rid of the harbour… That’s how… (whinge, complain, whinge some more). Not bitter at all.:o Ah well the rest of the map is going very well so can’t complain too much I suppose.

Clint (player)

lol not really bad luck when you’re only using a C30 for the job! I remember my first time as QA - it took me 6 attempts between Gargal and Fuinur to finally get rid of the harbour at Lugarlur - and let’s not talk about Herumor and Ingar failing Sauron at Vamag… lol

<moves arms in circular, Jerry Springer-esque motion> “Harad’s goin’ down!” What are they gonna do with all their mounts now? :stuck_out_tongue:

Hmm there appears to be a distinct lack of taunting! Fortunately my orders should be in by Weds, just reviewing them now. Then we’ll see what we’ll see! I wonder if I’ll get the encounter for Tinculin this turn…?

Well I’ll swap Harad for all the rest of the map… deal?

Ain’t got no time for taunting - too busy getting orders wrong.
