It is without question a time to consider all points of diplomacy as the realms of Middle Earth sortie for war and plunder. We of the Zhentarim are neutral in these affairs. We require all Free Peoples and Servants of the Eye to conduct their wars outside of our borders. Encroachment into our lands will be met with the spear. This is not negotiable.
I do not claim exclusive rights to the land around us. However if we deem a settlement to be too close to our holdings it will be burned. This is not negotiable.
We reserve the right choose an alliance at a time that is best for our nation. Pressure by force of arms will not be tolerated.
We are willing to parley with any nation that comes calling. We do not wish to dissuade anyone; we are claiming the right to secure ourselves from aggression.
