Game 63 1650

Dwarves at Nahald Kúdan, Dwarves outside Goblingate, a map well lighted with Free icons. There are reasons behind the classic moves, and it is good to see the classics are not disdained.

Steve
Dragon Lord

Outside the City of Umbar there is the gathering of a vast array of warships and sailing vessels. Some speak of dark times in the north and of wars that are being raged. Other speak of the importance of entering upon the field of battle and of making a choice. :frowning:

Yet with all this discussion of war and its affects on the city, there comes a cry from the market place that silences all the talk. ‘They are still selling food at 2!’

‘Those crazy sobs are still buying food. Fill the ships with food and set sail this guys don’t like to sell and we can still make some gold!’

The Lords of Umbar
Home of the Vast Food Fleets of the South
Remember if it isn’t Corsair fish then it just isn’t good fish!

Ah I see someone has mentioned that certain phrase “gold” and i’m sure ‘profit’ comes into it as well

The Easterlings have already sent out their ‘ships’ of the desert ladened down with the finest, most esquisit, tastiest food you could imagine. Why bother with ‘fish’ when you can buy figs, melons, delights and sweets that would make your mouth water just thinking of them.

Come one, come all the Easterling caravans will be coming to a market place near you!!!

Tros Hesnef
‘Purveyors of the finest foods’
Who wants fish??? :stuck_out_tongue:

SOOOooooooo…

Did the Dark Servants mass SS??

That was the quietest first turn I have ever seen!

Fletch
Horse Trader

Come on, is anyone going to tell the neutrals anything exciting. Or was it a complete no show turn 1.

No

In short.

There is nothing exciting to tell.

It is as Fletch said, the quietest first turn I have seen.

I would have been wondering if the Free had special serviced, except that I know to expect better of at least some of them

Masher: 3700 Dwarves? Sorfooth, is that not overkill?

Well, it is your overkill to use. So, have at it.

Steve
Dragon Lord

Nah, we didnt SS…and no obligatory first turn mistakes for me…so that means you can look forward to my bankrupting out in about 10 turns!! :>

Fletch
Eothraim Madness

Free Special Service? umm perhaps your FK did not check in with you? bad communication on the DS side already thats what you get when you throw a bunch of power hungry non-humans on the same side. Perhaps Sauron is not fully awake to pull you all in line yet, huh?

As for this whole woman, whisky thing I must say I offended…where the heck are the male slaves?

Ahh and to the Dark L’s …nice. shakes your hand How come whenever I p0lay the Dark L’s Gothy never starts in that army…checks her dice obviously they are weighed wrong

Pats Gandalf the Grey’s head…but then again…

 rofl

Enjoy!!! :stuck_out_tongue:

Vanya

Okay do I have some secret power or something…whenever I write on the boards in a thread…noone ever writes back…

It gets lonely at the top.

Hi Vanya,

It may be because some of us are still trying to work out exactly what you were writing. “rofl”???

P.S. Ok man slaves for you and the QA but amazons for the rest of us

Now, now Ian. Be nice. I know you must be upset after Liverpool losing last night but there is no need to take it out on the rest of us…

BTW, a tip to everyone else. When tying to recruit a neutral to your side, don’t tell them that you are a Man Utd fan as 9 times out of 10, it means they will immediately join the other side… :frowning:

Cheers
Brendan

woohooo. 2 - 1 to utd against liverpool…woohooo. At last, utd have finally gotten their act together…woohoooo

2 lucky goals by a lucky defender, how lucky can 1 team get. Geezzz

Upset, you’ve not yet seen how upsetting I can be :stuck_out_tongue:

Pick a number from 1 to 10 and see if you get lucky, you have a 1 in 10 chance now!!! (based on your 9 out of 10 theory)

Cheers,
Ian

P.S. I still won’t be deciding which side is the most worthy to join until turn 8 or so

So you are saying I speak Greek… :frowning: ah well

Why do men always have to turn everything to SPORTS! Well at least its football and not American football…YUCK!

If not Greek then Double Dutch

Still can’t work out what it means :o

The Legions of Umbar have set out in all directions. Their orders were simple. Strike in all directions and beat those evil Easterlings to the markets of the Dark Servants and Free People. Everyone knows that ‘fish’ is a superior food source and is heart healthy.

We among the Lords of Umbar would like to thank both the Dark Servants and the Free People for appreciating our goods and services by keeping the price of food high.

Angamait said fish on a stick would never work, but the council had faith that such an ideal could not fail!

Again we would like to thank all 26 nations in Middle Earth…(Sir, apparently one bad batch of fish went out to the #26 The Desert Nomads)…errr make that all 25 nations of Middle Earth.

The Lords of Umbar
aka
Christopher

We the Easterlings are not evil (yet) just misunderstood. ‘Fish on a stick’ is a healthy food but your warriors need a variety, thats what the Easterling food caravans offer, not just one sea food but many exotic ones. And we all know warriors like things exotic

Also I would like to thank both alliences for allowing us neutral nations our mithril buyout, though with food still at 2 i’m in a dilemma about what I should sell this turn

The Easterling turn went without a hitch, no messed orders, lots of buying and selling and moving characters and armies about. Looks good so far but there is a long way to go yet.

Ian
Easterlings

Come on you DS & FP I want to see some taunting on the board here

It’s difficult for me to taunt anyone yet, except The Lords Of Umbar  with their “Fish On A Stick” - its called a kebab

Surely someone has something to say

Although it would be fun to taunt my enemies, I’m still scratching my head in confusion over the DS tactics as a whole. Very much like a pizza delivery person delivering to an abandoned house with the door left open. “HELLO!!!” “Is anyone home?!” Is this a trick or some plot?

I guess I had better start taunting now, as later on, it will all be Nazgul crying!!

So, I’ll just throw this out to the DS…

“I know something you dont know!”

Fletch of the Eothraim

Ohhh how I’ve missed the gay banter, the swift repartee  Blody computer went down and I was shouting taunts but nobody heard (must be a song in there?). Caradoc, now there my stumpies were, wandering up for the party at Goblin Gate, and then you go visiting the Noldo. What sort of reception is that  Like, the lights are on but nobody is at home. Well thanks for the place, but too many dragons visit there and I wouldn’t want to leave it for you to reclaim, so instead of claiming squateers rights, the builders are moving in.
Now good neutrals, look at what the Dark offer, broken promises of parties, fish on sticks, I ask you. And on top of all that, strange poems! Come on Steve, we know better than that. Another thing, where are all the Dark Servants on this forum. I can insult the Dragon Lord until the cows come home (cute English phrase), but that will only last for 5 or 6 turns. I need a real target who has a hope of survival. So Dark type people, get your fingers out of your backsides, and get typing. :stuck_out_tongue:
Now I can sit back and watch them crumble!! :stuck_out_tongue:

Steve of the Stumpies
Best things come in small packages
