Game 63 Witchking

Does history repeat itself?

I played Witchking in the 'first' game 63. Rhudaur
went FREE on T2. I got badly badly beaten up, but
survived (thanks to Rhudaur being RUBBISH and Dunlands
going dark around t12) - and ended up winning the game
sometime around t30. Its also the only game where I
ever stole over 1,000,000 gold with one order - from
the Noldo capital.

Lets hope history DOES repeat itself.

You stole a million gold in one order? Now maybe I don't play 1650 enough,
but I've never SEEN a million gold in one place before...

Yes I remember the last game 63 and can vouch for what Mike claims. I can
remember stealing similar amounts in the latter stages of early games. I
think the rules have been tweaked some time ago to limit the amount stolen
depending on pop centre size. I think the maximum in one steal is now 10k at
a city.

Mike

RD: Mike, I believe you are right about the amount that can be stolen from a
normal city, but I understood there was NO limit on what could be stolen
from a capital.

Can anyone confirm?

Richard.
