All our results aren’t in yet, so we haven’t been able to analyze the exact situation. All we know for sure is that the Cloud Lord is playing, we suspect there might be more, but I haven’t seen direct evidence from the 5 nations reporting on the FP side thus far.
Cloud Lord, I sent you a diplo via the company. I’m not getting into name calling here in regards to a Bug Hunt, I’m simply not clear you fully understand the nature of the game and the community that plays it. Your choices are your own, of course, and the game can be played in many different ways. I’d simply like to hear from you as to what you’re doing and why. Regardless, we’re on our way.
Well, between this post, the diplo I sent with his turn, and an email direct to Paul Robertson of Australia - the Cloud Lord lone holdout bug-hunt protagonist in this game, I’ve received no replies. I would have been happy to discuss his thoughts and have supported bugs in games before based on their expressed desire to play the game at their cost/time in their own way - that is their right. But non-response either requires a really handy excuse (which are always hard to believe anyway unless you live next door and hear the shouting…) or is simply indicative of the type of player I was hoping this one wasn’t going to end up proving to be. Too late, I won’t feel guilty after hearing the excuse, on the off chance I do.
All future neutral games of mine will require full allegiance disclosure because, frankly, nobody can possibly join an allegiance with players such as this. There aren’t many on that list (surprisingly…some who might expect to be on it are actually on my want to play with list…).
You’re in the new Indie game, aren’t you Gixxx…? Note, sometimes, a “grudge” game isn’t necessarily a “Team” game and thusly, isn’t the answer… There are no Platonic attacks on Mordor in this game, no matter how many times I try…
Our noble Cloud Lord enemy has run screaming back to his capital. He’s been completely ineffective in the field for a total 16 turns now, spending the last few collecting MT’s from his departed allies. Only Mordor interior and south stands now. Our armies are grinding through, our emissaries are acheiving success, and our agents have certainly attracted his defensive attention. It might be a bit of time if he manages to sustain himself economically as his PC section rapidly diminishes and we’re forced into the logistics of getting our troops up all the mountains necessary to climb. Ah hell, what’s a couple extra turns, eh? Going to see this one through to the sad, bitter end we are.
