So, the easterlings go FP and the Corsair armies are marching past the Harad now…hmmmm. Oh well, this game may be a short one.
Darrell, out of curiosity, I’m wondering what made you go free? (If you care to share) Frankly, I think if you’d gone DS this game would be over so perhaps it’s for the best as at least we have a small chance.
Anyway, if we manage to pull this one out…it’ll be pretty sweet.
The decision was based purely on the number of emails, from the number of FP players, and the quality of information in those emails. While I’d heard from nearly every FP player on numerous occasions, I’d only heard from a couple DS players and only 1 with any regularity. The communication and coordination just didn’t seem to exist in the DS team at the same level it existed within the FP team.
At the time I made the decision, it appeared to be a two-two split on neutrals, thus game balance was not a deciding factor. It is now up to the Harad to decide if they want to maintain the 3-2 split, or make it 4-1.
I do find your comments about “game balance” rather odd still but that is part of the nature of having neutrals running around. The original Harad player didn’t do much and the current Harad player never showed an inch of loyalty to the DS (except for YOUR exclamation that he was DS). Frankly, if the game collapses under balance issues…it’s no big deal…just that you can’t pass the buck onto the Harad player like you are trying to do. Frankly, there are currently 4 nuetrals so if the Corsairs don’t go FP…it’s all their fault.
Destroying game balance is when there are already 3 or 4 neutrals on one side, and a neutral “piles on” the side with the majority.
I don’t see how it could possible be argued that there were already 3 or 4 neutrals on the FP side when I choose to go FP. I’m sorry the Harad was not all that you wanted the player to be… But, when I picked sides, ONLY the Corsairs and Duns were working withthe FP, Rhudaur was DS, and it appeared by all available data that Harad was as well.
It’s perfectly ok for you to choose any side for any possible reason and frankly…if 5 neutrals want to join one side…then fine by me as they are NEUTRALS.
I’m not accusing you of wrecking game balance…I’m just saying that there was NEVER any evidence of Harad being or going DS other that you saying that they “were DS” (which I’d pointed out to you in the earlier thread). I also found your claim that if the game is unbalanced it’s the Harad’s fault to be odd as frankly…it’s nobody’s “fault”…it’s just the way things go.
Anyway, I’m having fun while it lasts and am not taking anything personally etc. so best of luck.
