Is anyone else having problems loading files into their greoup yahoo site today?

The Cloud Lord sends greetings, and would enjoy opening communication with all neutrals.

harbqll at hotmail. I look forward to hearing from you.

Oh noes Harbqll is playing CL we all in trouble now, nice seeing you old friend.

Brian! Long time no see! Are you still playing newt, or did you put on a white hat this time around?

I’ve been playing serial FPs and occasional neutrals for the last few games. Finally got a turn to get back in black.

The scuttlebut of 585 might reveal we find it too convienient that Dragon Lord could scout an hidden pop center with a 30 agent and 210 my best charecter on Turn 1. The (former) Sinda quits effective immediately.

Scratching my head over this one guys and more than a little upset- can any of the DS fill us in on why they felt the need to end the game on turn 11?

hi,

I played the Ice King.

I enjoyed the game.

It ended because the DS team squabbling, a bankrupted WK, and only 2 kills by turn 11.

And Dunland and both Southerns going Free. Rhu was crushed early.

I wish it ground out but the majority dropped.

Whit

ps—going back to GB!

Hi there,
FP had some interesting episodes

  • Sinda decided to quit after his best character was killed
  • Dwarf deciding to role-play it
  • Cardolan MIA

But it seems you DS had your own drama going on…

Jordi

Dk LTs here. We the Darks had three kills over 11 turns. That is deplorable. Especially when an agent with 100+ agent modified, and 70 stealth went for a kill and failed, and was injured. Uncalled for. Then there was a complete breakdown of communication between some of the team members. Both southern neutrals going free, with no communication from them in 8+ turns, while missives from the darks still being sent to them to me is unacceptable and will lead to my playing grudges, kin-strife, or gunboat from here on out. And lastly and most importantly is the failure of a neutral to deliver on his word causing us to lose all will to continue this sad sad game.

I am not sure what you are refering to with that last line and I can not do anything about your dice roles. Harad was not talking to the Free either (in fact we were going to be attacking him the turn you guys dropped) and it was evident the Easterlings was going DS (he did have an army in the Northman capitol). The picture you are painting makes it seem that the DS was being defeated when they dropped. The reality is that the Free themselves were talking several turns ago about resigning the game around turn 15 if things didn’t turn around. But they stuck it out. Even though we had our own problems with players getting along I credit the Free for working through all of that and bootstrapping themselves back in the game. Just to have the rug pulled out just when things were getting good.

I think yahoo groups kill the game–they lead to rash decisions, team in fighting, and making a game designed to last years happen in months----i miss the fog of war

i remember post cards and huge phone bills that my mother freaked out about–we are talking 95-97–i was 13-15yrs old!

sucks i wanted to see what happened

hearing harad was not free is heart breaking

I found this game in an old issue of dragon magazine that i bought off a reluctant 30-something that still lived at home. He was forced to sell his crap at a family tag sale by his scolding mother. He had a fit and went back in his basement/bedroom to sulk and play Zelda.

UGH! the good old days!

I was graduating college and getting married at that time so the phone bills were first my problem and than my problem with my wife. One thing having to communicate by the notecards did was give you time to cool off before sending them out. I remember many times where I did write the flame note only to reconsider and write something else. With email and texts you can communicate nearly instantly but, there is no time to reconsider your hasty words once they have been sent.

sucks i wanted to see what happened

That sums it up for me as well. I will see you around Whit.
