Game 73

LOL – Already told ya I don’t – this game is yours – I think hearing from some others , but haven’t heard from everyone that this game is definately winding down and can be put in the history books as a win for you guys , I am pushing for the rematch myself and have about 3 to 4 others agreeing – so won’t be to long now I hope – and yes its the die hards I haven’t heard from yet !!

He’s Alive and well – Play with him in a game – 84 and against him in game 73 !!! Hmm wonder if I can get him to switch side in the game 73 rematch  !!

Are we there yet??? LOL

The Answer would be yes – just waiting for others to chime in – but the two main hold-outs on our team have stated so already !! Hey , you changed your icon to Taz – like it – how do ya get an icon as I would like to put one up there !!

Got to “forum jump” at bottom of this page, then hit “control panel”, then go to “edit avatar”, gotta have pic in your pc already,

G73 DS

Just to confirm that we basically agreed last turn that if we didn’t pick up the damned ring this turn we would concede. Still to hear confirmation from a couple of players but not expecting them to want to continue. Thanks for the game. We got off to too slow a start with a couple of early mistakes plus your blitzkrieg through the Corsairs we were too slow to properly identify.:o Also you were either very lucky or very organised in getting so many damned wyrms:mad::mad: and we couldn’t get a slayer going so from that point on it was a matter of standing against the tide.

We tried for a few turns to get the ring, as you probably guessed several turns back. Located it with a LAT but our mages proved far too immune to its lure the past 2-3 turns.:frowning:

We’re interested in a return match, even if we have skillfully timed it so we pick up the DS as winter comes. I seem to have blundered into the role of acting captain as our formal one had to drop out fairly early in the game so if you can let me know on any details please?

Steve

HI guys

Well, good game. Some tough fights in there and it swung around alot from the humble perspective of this FireKing

Cheers guys. I hope you didnt like what I did to you in SG. Kind of revenge for what you nearly did to @ Ungol (and I mean nearly: I reckon 100 HI more and you would have had it… arggh)

Cheers
Mike

OK FP, who played as who???

shouldn’t we get Harley confirmation first before we start winding down??

not that I’m expecting a cunning ploy or anything… just that Harley never mentioned anything in our return pdfs to say game finishes next turn…

We are waiting on two more people to respond – but the two die hard hold-outs that I told paul about in private e-mails have already stated that , OK we agree time to wrap this up – so I am at this point 99% sure that the game is over for our side , also the person who was our so called captain – Will had to drop his postion awhile back – so I believe that ME will require each of us to write them and state we are dropping – I could be wrong , but once hear from the other two player will send in an e-mail stating we are dropping as a team , to see if that works !! I am playing the Duns and have taken over the cardolan (damn wanted to crush that WK army at 1510 ) and can give my word that I am not sending in any orders for those two nations this coming turn – and if this changes I will let you know !!

So for all practical purposed – this game is over – Congrats Lackeys of Sauron

Mike

Well I have been playing the Duns since turn 0 and forgot what turn I took over the Cardolan but was the turn after you whacked Elrond as the person playing Noldo and Cardolan had to drop !! Least I did what I wanted by burning the WK capital after he thought he was probably safe in the North

Will send ya a list of players – who was playing who on your side ??

Mike

Mike & DS players

Heard from Rob that they only need notes from individual players in standard games, not grudge. As such I seem to have been accepted as stand-in captain and he said he would inform the DS that the game was over so you should be hearing shortly/have heard already.

I played Dwarves and Sinda then picked up the Noldor when Will had to drop for personal reasons. Unfortunately just as Elrond died.:frowning: That was about turn 8 as that’s the 1st turn I have in my records for them.

Steve

Congrats and kudos, DS.

FYI, I played a lone position. I was fairly active early on, but spent most of the game as a spectator, dodging DS emmis and agents. Yup, I was the beleagued EO. Kinda satisfied that I survived to the end, but appeciate that I really had little influence in the final outcome. :o

Thanks for an enjoyable game.

LR

I started out as Rhu… beset from all sides… I think a couple of silly errors on our co-ordination mucked up what could (hindsight is great) have helped to keep me in the NW… you killed the nation when you took Ithil… that was a surprise given I had a dragon defending.

Lucky for me… our Cap’n had to leave the game at virtually that moment, and I was able to continue as DoL… so I have been dabbling in mirkwood with Nor, Sin and Woo for a while now.

Ah, well. At least we got rid of one of the dark scum. Did wonder about that but by the time we burnt you out of there we were playing catch up too much to try and find out if you had relocated.

As your aware you got rid of the Corsairs and also in that last turn the Woodies secumbed so we were two nations down. Possibly more as a couple of others were in fairly dire straits by the end and not everybody had reported in by when I last checked last night. [Got a day off so getting off to an early-ist start and just checking the forums and links].

Anyway, thanks for the game. My 1st grudge so its been instructive, if rather fraught much of it. Hopefully we can get a return organised and give you some payback - in the best possible taste of course.

Steve

I had a blast with the CL in this game; I would be curious to know if the Freeps managed to double a couple of my agents as they started getting ineffective in stretches.

We were tracking characters with items until we went for the ring so had some idea where they were but failed miserably at doubling them the times we were in a position to try. Doubled a couple of DS characters but they weren’t agents.

Steve

Oh – I know you guys probably figured it out already – but we where trying for the one ring for about the last 4 turns and decided that if we didn’t get it this turn we would pack it in – we located the one ring at hex 1521 about 4 turns ago !!

Yeah, LOL, I mentioned it 3 turns ago,
