Game 76 turn 3

Well, well Bain I soon to be Bain the Broken.

I guess things didn’t go as you planned. It looks like Gain is missing and the short people failed reaching Goblin Gate. Khamûl sends words that it is not him that is departing from Mirkwood.

And Enion - Finally You come to face my forces. All of your men will soon feel the wraith of my Lord and Master. I will still give You an opportinity to live to see another sunrise. Kneel down before my armies and maybe You and Your men will be spared…

Murazôr - Witch King of Angmar.

Regent Ûvatha had longed for combat, for what had seemed like an eternity. Now he was finally on the battle field, and he was very pleased to know, that while he was out ransacking and plunder towns, his forces where doing just like they where told, and very well it seemed.

He though could not wonder what the self declared Free People where doing running around burning camps, while their homeland was on fire.

He hissed to himself: “Let just those petty Horse Lords burn my camps! Within only 8 weeks of combat, the forces of Sauron have burned two of the Horse Lords Major Towns”.

Ûvatha smiled, and turned his attention towards the inhabitants of Elgaer that where fleeing like rats, as they realised their doom was upon them.

Elrond met with his allies in the Northwest.

“The war is on, sir. Losses on both sides are mounting. The servants of Darkness have surprised the Eothraim and thier agents are more effective than expected this early in the war.”

Elrond looked stern and thoughtful.

“Further, Harad has secured the southern half of his nation against naval assault. Our allies will be forced to march over land to take him.”

“Is there any good news?”, the elf exclaimed.

“Yes milord. Serv military strength is beginning to wain as they empty the vast stores built in Mordor. We remain strong. In addition, the bold moves of the Dark Eye have left his vassels vulnerable in many ways.”

“It promises to be a long war”, signed Elrond, “but we we will prevail”.

  • Oh thats just Eadur, Corsair Hero, he got caugt under the heel of our army, when we were redeploying our troops, Sir!

Murazôr gazed down from the walls of his stronghold and smiled. Arfanhil had been so easy to persuade to turn against the forces of the free, so easy to control - like a puppet on strings. Words from the other nine were also promissing. All over Middleearth Sauron’s forces had put up a better fight against the free than anticipated and the major holds of Sauron’s followers were safe. But this had now changed in his own realm. He looked concerned down on a thousand torches from the combined forces of Arthedain, Cardolan and Dunland that was marching towards Angmar. He wasn’t sure if he could win this battle. It was also just a matter of time before the elves would come. Not only his creatures was comftable in the shadows. But time was working for him, he turned his gaze towards the summits of the misty mountains. His scouts had recently informed him of signs of the ancient Wyrms, Morgoth’s destructive children, was about to awaken…

    Jonas:
I’m a bit surprised you could hear such a small sound over the crackle of burning Harad real estate: what is it, five towns now, or six? It’s so hard to keep track… ; )

Corsairs

Actually, though I forgot to mention, I’m Quiet Avengers, not Harad.

T’is true, thou armies has proved a most worthy oppenent thus far. Rest assured, however, that thy nations standards fly where our evil seed has been sown. Like a cancer we will spread, indiscriminately through all that is pure and good. Soon good men will bend to my will, and to the leathercracked noise of the whips from orcish slavers.

Hi Mark

Just to bring you up to the score, its 5 Harad towns that you have managed to take/burn by now, and one more will be lost this turn (Only because you got lucky in the harbour refusing to go down). Have you actually ever looked on the Harad PDF, and compared the forces that Harad/Quiet Avenger has vs. the Corsairs, Southern Gondor, Northern Gondor and Sinda?

If not, then I can tell you that you have more than enough troops to Burn all of Northern or Southern Harad, not both, but still enough to also get a foothold in the other half that you hadent burnt. And all this can be done in the first 5 turns.

Now all of southern Harad is as safe as it ever can get, with all ports down there, and despite NG not committing any forces into Harad, you still managed to loose 3124 turn 2

It will be a good fight down south, but your initial attack was IMHO not to be bragged about :).

Cheers

Per - also playing the Harad

After beeing a bit hard, I though must admit that you made nice move in moving onto 2635, that was the only thing I could have done anything to prevent. Dunno what I was thinking when I made those moves :), but still nice Corsair move.

Cheers

/Per the everlasting Harad
