Game 78 the conquest continues

Just what is Northern Gondor up to? Some players always want to try something new and not follow the boring route furrowed by others. In this game Northern Gondor is trying a tactic I have never seen before. Giving up the Ithil pass. OK good play by the Dark Servants can see NG out of Ithil and bagging his head at Osgiliath. But when the Fire King owns Ithil, Osgiliath and Minas Anor something has to be seriously awry. Come on guys let us in on the secret, has he built some secret estate away from the frontline? Is he turning NG into an emissary nation, almost ready to pounce on Mordor with his massive emissary squads? I think we deserve to be told.
It’s OK playing against nations when you know where they are, but we have already lost track of the Northmen and Eothraim and it seems that Northern Gondor is going off map as well. We do at least know where his navy is, off shore at the Quiet Avenger’s capital. It’s a pity that the QA had employed the underhand tactic of removing the harbor. He has been warned, unsporting behavour of this kind will not be tolerated amongst the Dark Servants.
NG also have armies defending that perfidous estate of the Dunlendings. Rhudaur think that it is quite unfair having to fight off the Noldo, Atherdain, Cardolan, Dunlendings and the occaisional appearance of the Dwarves and Woodmen without NG putting it’s two pennyworth in too. Leave the poor sole alone, he’s down to just 5,000 troops and has barely 30,000 in reserves. He is the real basket case of the Dark Servants and deserves some mercy. Come and attack someone with a bit more clout. Dog Lord, Dark Lieutenants and Easterlings deserve more attention and a real good smacking for what they have to done to the Eoplex.
We have noted that Clown Coco just once too often sneaking onto Dog Lord territory and his name has been careully noted down for a serious working over. The Sinda agents are being noted too, almost 6,000 stolen off the Dog Lord, a good job he stole over 10,000 off them.

Although I am not part of this war yet, I find NG’s tactics confusing also. He redirects a large amount of troops away from Mordor to attack the near dead Harad. At first the tactic seemed to make sense. The Harad had lost 8 of their 13 pop centers in the first 10. Leaving 2 MT’s in the north and 2 MT’s in the south. With all of the Harad’s resources focused on me, taking the 2 northern MT’s would be simple. Then they would have a foothold near the QA with nice material resources. However, leaving the door to Mordor open to do this seems tactically unwise. If he had blown the bridges before going on a grand tour of Middle Earth it would have made some sense. If anyone watches the television show SouthPark, this situation reminds me of the “Chewbacca Defense”.

Just an opinion of a bystander

It must be a new tactic defeat them thru losing my capital…hey a similiar version worked for the Eothraim and look at him now!..

Guys, it should be perfectly clear. NG is attepting to circumnavigate Mordor, via Harad in the south and Rhudaur in the north, to attack the weaker underbelly that is Eastern Mordor in a classic pincer move. We fully expect the NG armies to converge around turn 48 and then you’ll be in trouble. Don’t say I didn’t warn you.

Yes - the Ithil Pass is a little more direct and convensional. But who wants to follow convention? Probably the same people that follow the dogma of “never lose your capital to emmies”. You all need to start thinking outside the box more…

The Dog Lord, Dark Liutenants and Easterlings will get their smacking soon, don’t worry. Commander Coco has an impressive arsenal of custard pies, water baloons, and flowers that squirt water with which to smite his enemies.

Excellent and here I feared you were all going to drop without letting me have any fun. Oh and Gingerprince, please leave all your hairy men and women at your capital…Din Ohtar and crew are going to give a nice shaving demonstration…you know cleaning up that messy neckline…

Hairdressing Nazgul?

In the words of my countryman, Mr Sean Connery, “Surely there musht be shome kind of mishtake?”

Speaking of mistakes, Khamul - the summary of your intelligence is good. But it’s not right…

And Nightsbane - I hope you’re good to your word. The last time Mr Cloud Lord made some big promises, but his visit to Maethelburg was something of a non-event.

Only because Im certain your capital will be as vacant as your idle threats

But I think you’ll find I haven’t made any threats, idle or otherwise…

I’m sure Dino has more productive places he can be than downtown Maethelburg, but he’s welcome to come and bring friends.

Well …

I’ll be back hehehe
and it was really more profitable to be at osgiliath some turns ago …
